  1. If that's how you start things, don't ever stop... Excellent picture and wonderful looking multiple series. Like N0WAE said, will have to really give the ol' Jeep a workout on your geocaches RocketMan. PS: Ok, I'll gladly stamp his CO "passport", plus it's not really the kind of glass that counts but what's in it that's important and most importantly the companions outside said glass.
  2. I ll be humbly glad to post the first "true" Coloradoan post. Plus just think a current thread of our very own...wow. Welcome RocketMan!, and yes we do feel honored with every CO Geocacher who enjoys geocaching, we have a great group here. (Just like Californians coming to Colorado and making it their own, there goes the neighborhood, again. ;-P )
  3. Don't worry about this one, the button is not there. They removed the option to lock threads except with Moderator assistance.
  4. Javascript disabled? Cache listings use Java$@#! postbacks in some of the geocaching.com "list" implementations. (Can you tell I just love Javascript/Ajax?)
  5. Testing Geocachingcolo.com logo avatar:
  6. Here's some visual rep's that might help of crucial update buttons: (I know personally have to see a thing, I am very visual) 1) Profile Update Button (i.e. Update button on bottom of page): 2) Forums Update Button (i.e. "forums" link on the left-side of the page on the main site): Also feel free to contact me and we'll see what I can do to help out further, if needed.
  7. Sincere thank you goes out to Lil Devil and Groundspeak crew. And to the CO geocaching community we wouldn't be much (anything.) with out individual geocachers, so feel free to contact me with any questions/comments and as always enjoy your website.
  8. Received an inquiry about this thread, as I was only one of the geocoins organizers, and that's a really good question. Wish I could be more help right now, will have to look at my records/posts and see if that helps (or confuses more). I am almost certain (99.9%) the Colorado Geocoin (2005) was after Maryland (2005). They were definitely quicker on the custom icon. (And I am also almost as certain Germany had us both beat, Deutschland efficiency is hard to beat.) ((We're much more laid back about such things here in Colorado. ))
  9. Exactly, I wanted them to check their own profile, I can all ready see mine. Thanks to the explanation of Jeremy, I'll close this topic. Again there was no problem, per se, to fix just wanted other's feedback.
  10. Actual example: Outdoors (Hiking, hunting/shooting, skiing, biking, swimming, etc),<br> computer graphics, photography, sailing, amateur (HAM) radio,<br> martial arts...<br> (No, I didn't put them there. I enter it as one "sentence" )
  11. At the bottom of my geocaching.com profile I just noticed there are hard returns (html entity: <br>) showing up in the Hobbies: section and I can't edit them out. I have tried editing and re-saving numerous times. Again not a big deal, just wondering if it has to do with profile "tidying" Firefox 1.5.0.5, Windows XP Professional - no proxies PS: It's happening in the Biography: section as well...
  12. I agree Yellow Ants icon is excellent, titled as Livestock. (Looking at the other fauna icons, shouldn't it be facing the other way though? ) It's those coming at you from the West you have to really watch out for any way.
  13. I highly recommend CacheMate (also available for Pocket PC). The small fee is more than worth the ink/paper savings and the convenience of impromptu caching. Edit: Spelling
  14. Then after making any changes make sure you go to the Forums "Register" page before logging to the forums to observe the results.
  15. No response at all?... We've been patient and continue to be so but a simple/quick reply is expected at the bare minimum and as a reasonable courtesy. We will see?
  16. ... I think this is a perfectly valid and serious request that should be considered seriously. What you've never heard the saying from your Emerald neighbors to the SW?: Take a serious statement and make a joke of it, take a joke and make a serious statement of it. Doesn't belittle the original statement one bit, even makes it stick in the mind, as it where.
  17. Made a change?: Click here to update in forums It's designed so you have to go to the register page everytime before you go to the forums.
  18. Great implementation and turn around time, thank you.
  19. Not to worry, TB distances do not update right away, as was posted by raine.
  20. Test...woooowhh...all still there
  21. I really like this idea and just to throw my hat in the ring: (Half TB/Half Geocoin but the check mark is a little big)
  22. Should?!? Try not to should on yourself or others.
  23. ?!?I have a vintage record player that looks kind of like that...
  24. Sorry, but this argument and the others that follow don't cut it. Of course, we all want fun, interesting and challenging caches. However, holding off placing by using the excuse of waiting for the perfect opportunity to place a 'quality cache' is just an excuse for not getting out there and doing it. If most people seek, but few place, it reduces the opportunities for all. Some of my most treasured geocache hunt opportunities have been when I didn't even find the actual geocache. The journey eclipsed any need to find a "mundane" container. I personally feel that by forcing impulsive hiding (i.e. just do it) with a set ratio would only contribute to un-maintainable geocaches and geotrash. It may be exciting to have lofty goals but my personal opinion could be to caution anyone from policing other people's realistic goals. PS: I'm from geocache bleak Pueblo myself but I escaped to the rich playing fields of the Springs. Feel free to give it a try up north a little ways, I'd be glad to tour guide.
  25. GJTB icon final version? Can such a nice icon really have the potential to produce so much angst? : (I dig the sort of OD green coloring!)
