  1. I can't tell you what I do with my unit, this is a family site.
  2. Boy I hope not! If the day comes that all that I can look for is puzzle caches my trusty GPS will be tucked away in a lonely drawer.
  3. I like them all. Just depends on what mood I'm in that day. Multiple find micro day or running around in the woods with my dog for a few hours to find 1 cache.
  4. The nerve of that approver actually having a life outside of caching! I am so sorry that you had to wait a few days. Do you feel better now?
  5. Well, it looks like so far that we have had 25 separate people including myself tell the OP that paperless caching is the way to go. We have a couple of people not sure about it yet and 1 person that the best argument that they can come up with against paperless caching is that your pda might get rained on. Oh by the way have you ever tried to read a cache page that was printed by a jet printer and got a little wet? Now that sucks!
  6. Sounds like he might have a Legend C. You can do it with that. Cool, if that's the case my humblest apologies.
  7. Oh oh, do you feel that sharp pain in your mouth. I do believe that you are hooked. Welcome to the addiction.
  8. Yep you got it. On the Legend when you hit the find button you can search by name or nearist waypoints from you current location but you can't search by just geocaches. Well I suppose you can if only geocaches are loaded in your gps.
  9. I thought that I was nuts about caching until I met Dave. Anyone that has cached with Dave knows what I mean. Congratulations Dave! Here's to another 3k.
  10. It's your cache but they are only giving themselves false numbers and not affecting any one else.
  11. Well you did meet me at Geo Woodstock II. You were still recovering from your Jeep accident. Of course I'm not so much of a regular on the forums anymore. I also met Mtn. Man there and had the pleasure of meeting Robert at a camping event in Lancaster PA. I think that about covers it for forum participents. I couldn't begin to name all of the people I've met out caching.
  12. Not a fear of puzzle caches just a dislike. But like others said I just usually ignore them.
  13. I'm on the list but my wife TinyDiny with 279 finds is left out for some reason.
  14. As long as you are satisfied that your own numbers are accurate who gives a carp about anyone elses.
  15. Ok someone please tell the dumb guy, that's me how to figure out what number you are.
  16. Paperless sucks only if you can't figure out how to do it. GSAK and Cachmate. Once I get my PQ I can have everything loaded on my pda and GPS in about 5 minutes. The only way to go if you do more than a couple of caches in an outing.
  17. I don't get it. What advantage do the first to find addicts specifically get that others can't because of this?
  18. As long as you rate it appropriatly make it as difficult as you want. Somebody will find it. Some people like different things. Personally I hate puzzle caches. Long hikes and difficult hides bring 'em on. Did I mention that I hate puzze caches?
  19. I just bought a pair of Hi Tec Altitude hikers. Very comfortable. I have pretty flat feet and tried the Merrils and Lowa boots and their high arches bothered my feet. I don't see anyone reccomending Hi Tec. Has anyone had a problem with them?
  20. Wintertime sunset on the beach at Presque Isle in Erie PA. while doing Light House cache.
  21. I've been stopped at night a few times. I just tell them exactly what I'm doing and they usuall just give me the "this guy's some kind of nerd" look and leave me alone.
  22. Congratulations Tprints. You were one of the first cachers I met and a great ambassador for the game.
  23. You can get a Timex watch with a compass for like $30. Ebay
