  1. Mannnn, I was flattered until I saw that you confused me with Sparky. Anyhoo, there's plenty of other cool caches in the area, so don't make it your ONLY reason for a trip to Houston. Try GQ's Headcase. That's MY favorite cache in the area and only about 12 miles from the first QL DEAD DROP. NH Moose recently took a 180+ mile detour just to hit Quantum Leap while on a business trip. THAT really impressed the Missouri City Parks Director. Sn gans I would seriously consider flying out to this cache, if I thought I could finish it in one trip. But from the logs it seems like it would involve many trips Maybe some day. As for hard caches, Blood & Guts in Virginia (aka Iron & Stone) is the hardest one I've done dave
  2. I have used my etrex legend in Hollan several time with no problems. If it has problems aquireing satellites (which it will at first) there will be a little pop-up menu from which you select; New Location. select use map, Pan on the map using the joystick till you are near the region that you are in (france) then click the joystick and it shoul aquire ok, might still take a while, but it should work. Dave

  4. I hope not, it would make things endlessly confusing. Dave
  5. Is it considered "bad form" to relaunch a TB using the copy tag itself ? My first TB disappeared without trace within a week - presumed taken by muggles, although the cache seemed otherwise OK - and it's very frustrating... Part of the reason for getting two tags was to use the copy if the first one goes missing. Quoted from the Travel Bug FAQ >Why are there two tags? > >There is one tag that says "COPY" on it. This tag you hold on to to keep as a ? >memento and a quick way to check up on your bugs. It also works as a good >backup if your original Travel Bug comes up missing. > >They make great keychains, too! So, i think it ok Dave
  6. I have traded into caches golden (sakagewa), sba, and my favorite eisenhower dollar coins. It's like a gift certificate to the dollar store I also have left several coins as ftf prizes in one of my caches. (Peace dollar, etc.) Also have put alot of Euro coins in caches recently. Coins that are not everyday coins are very cool. Dave
