  1. After dropping over $500 on my new colorado I expected all of my geocaching problem spots to be over ... I was wrong. Since mapopolis is off the radar I really don't have much choice in the driving portion of my geocaches. I am using iguidance for my pockepc. I was hoping to use the automotive profile on my colorado to navigate me on the road portions of my cache hunting. But the road maps are way way off. The road in front of my house is over 150 feet off. When I try to navigate to a cache using the automotive profile it says there are no nearby roads to navigate on and only gives me an as the crow flies route. I even have the 'snap to road' feature selected. I have read that the City Navigator NT 2008 maps are a lot more accurate. Are we required to drop another $100 on an already overpriced item in order to do what a pocket pc program was doing 5 years ago?
  2. I just got my colorado today and I am bouncing off the walls. If any of you all are near Somerset Ky give me a holler and we will test this baby out. Here's my question: We are limited by 500 caches in the pocket queries. I want to put two areas on there that exceed 500 queries; the Somerset area and Lexington area. I tried this but it seems that it only opened one gpx file. Any ideas how to do this? I have a 1 gig sd card in it as well .. so I should be able to hold thousands of caches. Also .. does anyone know how to show more of the logs for each cahce? I would prefer to have all of them. It may have been user error on my part... but when I loaded the Lexington file it didn't seem to show the Somerset ones. Thanks in advance. I am very pleased at how giving this community is. I wish I could spend more time with you all in person.
  3. Quick question: How do you typically log a cache find for someone else? I took my youth group geocaching yesterday and I gave them my extrex and let them find two caches on their own. They found one placed by me and another one that I had found months earlier. I want to log their find but I didn't want it to throw off my statistics by inflating my numbers.
  4. Umm .. was this a typo? I see these for over $200. I also am in the market for a cheap, durable GPS. My pocket pc + gps reciever is too costly to take hiking and the software sucks on getting me to the cache.
