  1. Hi have just upgraded my TomTom to a 750 it appears that you can add your own Points of Interest file and having read through a few posts in here it seems a few peopel use this as a way of loading caches into their TomToms couple of questions 1 - how do you do it 2 - if anyone has a UK file ready to go could I be cheeky and ask for a copy R
  2. Hi I appear to be having a couple of problems that maybe someone can help me with Firstly I've created a couple of routes by uploading .gpx files, when I run a pocket query on them a coulple of caches will come up. However when I then use the "search for nearby caches" utility from the cache page it shows more caches which should be covered by the search criteria but which the pocket query doesn't show - I could understand it if none were shown as it would probably mean I had ticked the wrong boxes but can't understand why some and not others Secondly when I try to update my profile I get an error message saying "you name must contain at least some characters" despite my name being in the box in full - this means I cannot update my profile - not a show stopper but annoying anyone any ideas Cheers
  3. Sounds like a tricky one, follow the hints from everyone else and see if it's there, everyone misses a few, if you can't find this one pick a few easy 1/1 or 1.5/1.5's and build up some confidence, it's all about putting yourself in the mind of the person who hid the cache, after you've found a few you start to spot things and look at things differently - that's the secret
  4. I use a usb cable to connect my old etrex to my laptop to download stuff from my MemoryMap software, and I get a Comm error when the cable isn't connected, have you got everything set up ok If all else fails try contacting Garmin they are usually very helpful R
  5. Hi - sorry if this is a topic that has been raised before but I just got inundated with hits for it when I tried a search I have tried using Caches Along A Route in conjunction with Google Earth, I laboriously set up the route, clicked on the top placename (the one in with the little earth symbol next to it), saved it as a kml file. Imported it to the Caches Along bit and that's where it all goes wrong - when I try and preview the route no map is displayed and I get a javascript(0) error in the bottom left of my screen when I point at preview has anybody got any ideas that would help thanks in advance Richard
