The problem with prefab containers is they're hard at first then when word gets out, you know exactly what to look for. e.g. fake sprinkler, fake rock, fake rebar, fake chewing gum. . . .
well you get the point.
DON'T drop travel bugs / geocoins into a cache online BEFORE its published. there are bugs in the system that allow UNPUBLISHED caches to be found if they have travelers dropped in them before being published.
the finder can always grab it from you if you haven't gotten around to dropping it after publish.
Sounds like it worked out OK. I don't get the cautionary part of the tail?
It took 22 years before he got to make a decision
It took 22 years before he found the cache?
Must have been a 5/5 to take that long to find it
If its a mountain hide and difficulty is 3 or higher i'll sneak a peak[assuming theres a hint]
If its an urban, i don't need hints to lift a lamp post cover or check a guard rail
Yeah but what can we do about it, change their mind?
Just tell'em to trade up, trade even or don't trade at all.
LOL! Gotta ask... what would be trading up from a cap gun?
A glock 9mm
In a perfect world it'd all be ammo cans and lock n' locks.
I've only found one ziplock and that was in the bushes. if they're checked and replaced regularly i guess its ok.
Tip1: place explicit permission on the listing.
Tip2: place house number in hint
Tip3: if your container has a combination lock, don't try to make a puzzle out of the combo.
Didn't we all get swatted by our mothers when we were seven or eight for doing this?
But mothers plants didn't have a 35mm film cannister with a slip of paper in it!
