  1. you really can't tell who the thieves are as they aren't going to log. someone stole a cardinal coin and left a proxy, i take the proxy not knowing the owner didn't put it out as a proxy but was stolen. I move it to another cache and am accused of theft via email by the owner because the next finder said there was just a cheap plastic card with a code on it even though on my coin drop i said dropped proxy coin not knowing it had been stolen. it seems strange that a coin thief woulddrop a proxy. most of them don't even make a log entry when they do their stealing. they probably dropped it and decided they wanted to keep it after the fact so they made a proxy and went to the cache and swapped the proxy for the coin leaving the next finder to take the heat for the theft.
  2. there won't be another february anything as 12/21/12 comes before feb '13
  3. I'd be more than happy if the guidelines were changed to a half mile apart. There's lots of wilderness in Wisconsin that could use a cache and that there would be absolutely no trouble with saturation. oh please no. that would suck for us havenots[no car]
  4. Gun shows are a good place to get ammo boxes fairly cheap.

  6. I for one like to keep a tidy ship. if i get several logs over a few months that a trackable is missing, its missing. it don't need to sit in my cache a year before i mark it missing.
  7. its a geocoin. it has its own icon. tb have generic bug icon.
  8. specific mission traveler usually last longer than move from cache to cache travelers.
  9. upside: you know your bug/coin is still alive. downside: its logs get polluted with all these took it to logs.
  10. Sounds good. everything i've put out has been stolen. this whole trackable thing has left sour taste in my mouth[i'm done paying to fill other peoples collections] now i only buy for ftf prizes or not activatings for myself.
  11. in an ideal world the took it to logs wouldn't log but the miles would still add up. i look at a bugs page and first page is all took it to's i don't bother with the next 15 pages.

  13. The numbers are these: [redacted] And the formula is this: The final coords you SHOULD get by doing the math are these: [redacted] You do the math as per instructions. Does it work for you? I didn't think so. How can I make it work? The bogus coords can be changed, but the numbers and final coords must stay the same. Help me PLEASE! Edited to remove coords, as I have fixed it. Edited again to remove letter values. EASY! if only point three three three was as easy.[yeah YOU know who YOU are! ]
  14. my favorite is the spice aisle. 5th season chopped onions. 50 cents each and a way better container than a film cannister. I was buying them just for the container tossing out the product. but they're not bad.
  15. if you cheat a virtual cache you're only cheating yourself.
  16. I revisit the one-offs i've put on ignore every now and then to prune off the archived caches from my ignore.
  17. unless its a puzzle, thats not really a spoiler. any n00b could find that with decent coords.
  18. pretty much cached out phoenix being bike only.
  19. I had one like that. they took the whole cache and said i can't figure out where to put the coords where i put your cache. i wrote them explaining everything but naturally this was yet another person who never wrote back. i replaced it and it was stolen 2 weeks later. i then archived it.
