  1. On the official Android app, I solve this problem by zooming out, then scrolling far away from the area so the app is forced to download other caches. And then, scrolling back, it reloads the caches again, now with the new caches loaded too and visible on the map. It's a bit annoying that there's no regular poll from the app itself to update the map, but this is an easy workaround.
  2. This particular abbreviation is very common here in Sweden (where the OP also lives). I don't really see it very widely used in posts by other international posters, so I guess it's quite regional. Traditional caches are called "trads" here, and multis are... well "multis". But to get back to the topic, yes please to keep final coordinates, and let's have some red circles in the official app as well as the map, so we can see where we can put new caches even in city environments!
  3. As someone who considers most geo"art" to be roughly on the level of tagging a map with a spray can, I would never turn this feature off.
  4. And the two others who didn't go out after the new release claimed only FTF on the first, now archived listing. Yeah, we were pretty clear on what we wanted to do for ourselves. I was happy enough with the one FTF I got. But nevertheless, it was an interesting extra gray area in a game with unwritten rules, and I thought it'd be an interesting topic for discussion. What would you do?
  5. Here's an interesting scenario that just happened: I and some other cachers after more than one attempt and a whole lot of tedious searching, finally managed to find a new cache, and we wrote a first-to-find (FTF) log on it. The problem was, the cache was a bit too far from its published coordinates. The owner promptly archived the cache and created it again, this time on proper coordinates. He did not change the log. Should we claim FTF on the new cache as well, thus effectively getting two FTFs for the same cache? Our names are in the log. We found this cache before it was released. We have been there. We have physically found it. What do you guys think?
  6. Oh, I bet they just pushed the wrong version of the code to the live server and now they're trying to find out how to fix the score for the already logged caches without people having to relog them.
  7. There's nothing that says that you can't get started. Maybe just wait with logging the caches online til they fixed the problem, keep track of when you logged which cache, and if they don't fix the bugs today, just backdate the logs when you finally log the caches online. I'm going out for more caches today, and if I have to re-log the ones I already logged online, I will do so.
  8. When starting out on the first day of space exploration, I took a few caches and started logging them after the timer had gone down to zero and the page was updated. However, the first one, a mystery cache, did only yield 5 points as opposed to the 15 it should have. I logged a traditional cache after that, and that correctly yielded 5 points. This might be something that you want to fix quickly before a ton of people start logging this. Regards: Chamafox Excerpt: 1 You 10 GC672ZH 03/19/2018 5 GC670T9 03/19/2018 5
