Hi, I have the eTrex Vista. Sometimes (1 out of 10 or so), when navigating to a waypoint, the arrow 'locks' at a certain point. When moving, the distance still changes to show I'm gettting closer, but the arrow either won't move or it will jump all over the place in circles. What could cause this? Power lines? Metal fences? I've seen it happen when I was around these objects, but I'm not too sure. Thanks for the feedback, Brian

Yep, there is a routing option. Choices are automatic or manual. Automatic changes the waypoint automatically. In manual mode, the zoom in / zoom out buttons will change the waypoint. Also, I find that when I start navigating a route, it always defaults to the 'closest' waypoint, not necessarily the 'first' waypoint in the route. Kinda frustrating, but now that I know how to change it with the zoom buttons, it's ok.
