  1. Suddenly Mapsend Directroute has stopped naming the street or exit at which to turn. What can I do to recover the naming function?
  2. Thanks to all the kind folks who have responded. I tried doing a pocket query for "involves a hike" and I got what looks like a good list of fun geocaches.
  3. Many a geocacher is not intrested in a quik dash and cache but is looking for an interesting hike. I've often been disappointed when the cache turned out to be within sight of my car. Could caches have a designation indicating that a walk of some distance is involved.
  4. The caches that keep me going are the ones that are easy to find once you get to some interesting place. I’ve found micros in places I have no desire to visit. What is this hiding the cache in the base of a lamppost stuff? It seems that the game is different in urban settings. It has to do with avoiding muggles and clever hiding of small things. I’d rather do a virtual than search for a thimble in a lamppost. So I use filters to avaoid micros and I read descriptions to see whether I'll enjoy the place. It's still fun.
  5. I think this is a splendid idea. While traveling the PA interstates I've seen that there are several caches near the highway but discovered that they are not accessible from the interstate. The attribute icon would let me sort for caches accessible from the interstate.
  6. I know I added a couple of pictures to my profile a few years ago. I can't figure out how to add (and delete)picutes. And it askes for a password, but won't accept my geocaching.com password. Can someone help me remove ugly pictures and add beautiful ones.
  7. You don't need to be a subscriber. Are you sure you just aren't missing it? Here's what the tab looks like on my page: My screen doesn't look the same as the sample I just received. "Places" is at the top of the left corner. GUESS WHAT: I CHANGED THE "TOOLS" AND FOUND THE LOST DIRECIONS TAB. THANK YOU FOR THE HELP

  10. I downloaded Google earth and I am able to enjoy the display of caches. It's real helpful in finding where caches are clustered. I am trying to do a search along route but I can't get past the second instrution: "click on the directons tab". I can't find the tab. Do I have to be a subscriber for Gooogle Earth to be fully functional?
  11. I got mixed up between the two Follow the Trail chaches and was checking for the coordinates on the WRONG ONE.
  12. When logging a find one can add a waypoint to the log. I did that but I don't see that anything has been added to the cache log. So what is the add a waypoint all about?
  13. We took the bug from the Overlook Cache and intend to place it nearer to it's stated destination. We've been trying to record our find via the link at the description of the particular bug, but the web page doesn't respond. Are we missing something or is the web page down? Also is it proper etiquette to take a travel bug intending to place it in a couple of weeks when we will be traveling in the direction the bug is intended to go? Campbell3
