We're getting the boss a Garmin Etrex Legend for Christmas, and since he'd use it mostly for horseback riding, we want to get him topo software too. The confusion we're running into is whether the topo map from NG Topo can be loaded onto the GPSr. Can the map be loaded on the GPSr? Or can only the Mapsource software be uploaded? What about waypoints and routes? Thanks for any help. If you have other advice or recommendations, feel free to voice them. Devin

How detailed are they for dirt roads? I would like to use my GPS in the jeep when I'm up in the canyons to find dirt roads that I've never been on before. Is Garmin Topo current on these? TIA. Devin
