Hi Matrix

The unit i have is the Venture HC not the HCX and us such has no mass storage as in the x for a card. When i try and view through windows explorer the unit is not shown as an extra drive, as it does on my colorado. I know it has memory built in but i canno find the drive for it.

Any other Ideas

Hi All

Its Me again, i have downloaded the maps that martin produced for the south of england Thanks Martin.

However i dont seem to be able to get them on my Garmin Venture HC, does any one know how?

When i connect to my pc the gps does not show up as an additional drive, and the only way i can download any info seems to be via the Garmin Mapsource soft ware that came with it. But this software will not open the map or allow it to be imported.

Does anyone know if there is an alternative that will communicate with the gps?

Also Martin I found one of your hide over the weekend, it seemed to be a long way from Horsham for your first one! Whats up not enough hidey holes up there for you!

Thanks everyone for your feedback. I followed Matrix's advice purely because it was like a) add flour, add eggs, c) mix etc. Dead easy. I did do it slightly different though (added currants... )

1. Log onto GC.com with a premium membership

2. Open the premium cache and click log your visit

3. Log out

4. Log in from the non premium account

5. Write the log

6. Click Submit Log Entry

Dont worry if after logging the find the page returns an error

7. Log out of non premium account

8. Log back in from premium account

9. Check the log entry was succesful

Thanks - they are very close, but not what I wanted. I've found those at several retailers, I think they are 'bumper stickers'. However, I want the REVERSED ones for going inside windows and for them to be just the plain ones without the blue background... I know, picky picky picky

Did the very same thing myself once upon a time and found the easiest way to delete them was using the middle click on the scroll button of the mouse to open the remove link in a new tab. Then you can confirm the delete in the new tab. Every time I was online I deleted 20 or so until they were all gone. Took me a few days but it was less repetitive and boring

Out of interest, is there a limit to the number of things you can add to your watchlist??

I have been a silly boy and created a rather large watchlist which I want to clear out and start again with a selected few caches

 

So without clicking each one separately and deleting it is there a way to delete them all in one go ?

I have the 60CSx and I am happy with it but If I were to replace/upgrade I wold have the Oregon 300 which I know is not on your list but is worth the extra over the 200
