  1. The problem does not occur with every input of coordinates; it is random. However, when it does happen, it can repeat multiple times for same waymark.

The source of the coordinates is mostly the Czech map server mapy.cz - for example,  https://shorturl.at/elEPV  . I extract the coordinates in the format '49.4142039N, 14.6589750E'. From there, I remove the middle characters 'N, ' and replace the characters ', ' then removing the trailing 'E'.

I have JavaScript enabled, and I always use the latest version of Chrome.

  2. I was satisfied with the previous functionality of Waymarking site, except for the issue of switching between W/E in coordinates. However, I eventually managed to cope with it. I enter the coordinates only by using the copy/paste method in decimal format.

The new input field for coordinates seems to have some new error. Occasionally, it refuses to accept valid coordinates pasted in. This applies even to the sample coordinates 39.064280, -145.204380 from the field's help. Am I the only one experiencing this issue, or is it affecting others as well? I have tried logging out and restarting the browser, but it doesn't seem to be reliable.

The error with the automatic switching of W/E was annoying, but at least it was apparent at first glance. The current error, however, is almost worse because it's not clear why the pasted coordinates are being rejected.

  3.  I've been adding some new waymarks for a while. I would say that the bug described in this thread has gotten worse. When I insert the coordinates in DecDeg format copied from the map portal, it goes through without a problem. When I change the format to DMS, the coordinate values disappear and are replaced with just zeros.
So not only Waymarking.com assume that the participant is only northwest hemisphere, it spontaneously changes the coordinates already entered and saved once   now it doesn't even know how to convert between the different formats.

  4.  I find this quite helpful workaround ...

I always fill  the coordinates in DecDeg format
after filling (without saving) I switch DecDeg to DMS and immediately back to DecDeg

the note: after switching to DMS the coordinates are almost always set to 0, after switching to DecDeg the values are restored

    only then will I save

it almost always works for me

  5. I'm using Chrome. I estimate that about 40% of my requests on Waymarking.com are delayed. I notice delays at certain recurring intervals.

I would understand the delay in some search of waymarks or uploading photos, but there is also delay in displaying an empty form for photo upload when I post a new waymark. This is a very simple page with minimal graphics.

  6. This issue is still going on with me as well.

I haven't had this problem yet. I'm using Chrome v.79.

Same issue on two different PC with Chrome v.79.  Erasing the cache and cookies didn't help.

IE v.11.535  shows 'State / Province' combox OK.

Third PC, IE and Chrome same version as the previous two pc.

'State / Province' combox is empty in both browsers.

I haven't had that problem with Safari, however the site has been extremely slow to navigate the last few weeks. I assume it's due to maintenance. Maybe it has something to do with it?

I agree, I'm using the latest version of Chrome, everything works for me, but post new waymark,  upload photos takes about 2-3 times more than about a month ago :-(

    Don't you see it too?
