  1. Benchmarks in the U.S. Virgin Islands (like Puerto Rico) are U.S. Benchmarks. I do not know what we should do with benchmarks in the British Virgin Islands. I am not familiar with any database which might be used for benchmark-Waymarking in the U.K.
  2. The category name might have to be revised as most of the initial waymarks will be from countries where Spanish and Portuguese are not the languages.
  3. Can we assume that the other island countries (by Groundspeak's definition) between Bermuda and Venezuela would be included: The Bahamas, etc, etc?
  4. Similarly, benchmarks in Puerto Rico are U.S. Benchmarks.
  5. I am very keen on this category. First comment: Guadeloupe, Guyane, Martinique, Saint-Barthélémy and Saint-Martin are already covered in French Benchmarks category.
  6. It was the first peer review in ages with nearly all positive comments.
  7. Peer review was at the end of February 2016.
  8. Good job. The alien that landed along Gilmour is still there. Considering the change of weather and the fact that everyone is now outdoors to enjoy their coffee etc, photography will be a challenge. This is a good problem to have. As for the alien that landed in the transit tunnel at the university, if the alien was in the tunnel itself, it is now missing. If the alien was in the transit station proper, it will be gone before 2018 when the station is demolished.
  9. I should have just used Google maps before I went alien hunting. The art and the coffee shop are no longer there.
  10. Aren't those his visit photos to your waymark?
  11. I'm confused. Are the aforementioned photos gone? I see green grass in his photos and brown grass in yours.
  12. This one was spotted in my city in 2013. If it is still there, I hope to post it in an existing category next week. http://apt613.ca/wp-content/uploads/2013/09/SpaceInvadersClose-Up.jpg
  13. It is difficult to not take it personal. Many of us here have been rejected by the Waymarking community over a potential category for which we were passionate. I don't know where the rejection feels greater: here in the forums or once the more public peer review begins.
  14. Now I wish I had a trip to Europe in the plans. You are inspiring me to devote a day to post waymarks for these aliens, big and small, in any acceptable Waymarking category.
  15. Ottawa, Canada, is just far enough from you to qualify but my pass on Wed the 13th is later, 21:36. My pass on Sat the 16th is same time 20:37 but at only 42 degrees. These are such tough requirements. If you can find a partner for Saturday, I should try for a waymark visit rather than post.
  16. The Canada Link article is a commercial web site selling space invader art creations. I was unable to confirm Canadian locations of waymarkable art.
  17. For good or bad, that's the way things are. It won't change. We just have to live with it. You may also notice other interesting aspects of Waymarking stats. When does today become tomorrow? Answer: it depends on the time zone but not the same time zone for each variety of Waymarking stat.
  18. As a waymarker, I remember searching for those (without success) in Paris. Your examples above all qualify for the Mosaics category.
  19. Is Ottawa, Canada, on the flight path? We have rain forecast this evening but YOU could still get credit...I think.
  20. The photographs I take on my iPad do the same thing unless I first edit the photograph before upload. Any edit will do.
