Google has released the API for using Google maps within your website. So nauturally, I started playing around with my pocket query results to see what I could come up with. It turns out it's pretty darn easy to incorporate Google maps into a web site. You just register for a free key and write a few lines of javascript. I made mine a little trickier by parsing the .gpx file.
See my quick example: http://home.piccianodesigns.com/waypoints.html
Click the pins to see the cache name, description and link. It uses the .gpx file I receive from my pocket query.
So the question is, how can we use Google maps to make geocaching.com better?
