Found an inmate "bracelet" while hunting an urban cache in Detroit. Since it was found near the entrance to the tunnel to Canada, I was worried it was an escapee. It is like a heavy duty hospital bracelete with the guys picture, name and birthday on it. I called the Sherrifs office and was referred to inmate property department. The woman who answered that phone was pretty rude, but managed to confirm that they didn't want it back and the guy was not an escapee. Still not convinced, but I took the prize home. It will be my next TB with a mission to go visit prisons across the US. Dark, I know, but truely americana...
