What a nice mission. And with the most important of all Christian holidays quick approaching, a good reminder to all.

Oh, that would be my favorite thing to do. But in the midwest, that is not really an option for me.

Maybe it reminds us not to put peanut butter in geocaches. And I always thought that rule was to keep the animals away.

Wow, they are really beautiful. I think my favorites of all shown were the caribbean and the blue ... and those will be the first ones available.

First off, what a beautiful coin!! For Earth Day, I go caching of course (oh, wait, I do that every other day too). Also, I plant my vegetables for the summer, and if possible we eat dinner outside. We call our patio 'the green room', as opposed to our dining room, which is painted blue.

I have recently signed up for my first mission, and I am very excited about that. It is a small mission, and involves sending a coin and a card to another player. And I might manage a trade or two in the near future. From reading the forums, I know that there are sometimes coins lost in the mail, and even lost from the envelopes that they are sent in. Is there any preferred method of packing and shipping to avoid these kinds of problems? Perhaps taping it to an index card or something? Thanks for any suggestions.

I think I will start one like - take me on vacation, and take a picture of me there. that way I get some nice pictures, some movement, and am not too restrictive about where I am going.

First off, welcome to geocaching, and to the wonderful world of coins and travel bugs! Then for the answer to your questions: You are perfectly allowed to pick up that coin from the cache. Just be sure to log it, and to move it to a new cache in a reasonable amount of time (less than 2 weeks is good), and make sure you log it into that cache too. 'Trade rules' (trade up, trade even, or don't trade at all) are a little relaxed around travelers. Since they like to move, feel free to help them on their missions, even if you might not have a trade with you right now. It is nice to swap if you can. Or if you want to go back and put a replacement in that cache that is fine, or put something extra in the next one. It all works out in a global way. Your TB idea sounds very nice. I have seen TBs on everything from toys to books to keys to stuffed animals to pictures to .... and I enjoy reading about and moving every one. The only caution is that something nice may disappear from circulation.
