  1. I emailed Mike (Brawny Bear) we'll see what he has to say. If you get a refund I doubt you'll see it till after the event the end of March.
  2. That message you all got is because of the way Brawny Bear has his email set up and all the paypal payments for to his email address. I have no clue if he gets the emails regardless or not, when I got one for registering for MOGA I replied to it just to be safe. Just a warning before you all go rushing to buy a coin...........there are only supposed to be 200 coins minted, no more, no less. The first 200 to register to attend the event will get coins, any remaining after the event will be sent to the first people who paid for coins and once they are gone refunds will be sent. I'm pretty sure this info is correct but I'm going to send Mike a link to this thread so maybe he'll weigh in with an official answer.
  3. If all three are ordered from the mint at once there might even be another price break at 1000 (350x3coins=1050). This might even be why he picked 350 to start with.
  4. I'd like to trade, don't remember if we have arranged a trade yet or not and I'm not near my computer to check my records.
  5. Mailers and more used to be the cheapest, but the recently raised their shipping rates. I'm a little miffed right now because I ordered some on e*** and requested an invoice because I was down to my last ten and the mailers and more prices had gone up, I still don't have the invoice so I can't pay yet. I need more envelopes to ship some incoming trade coins and my personals will be here in a few weeks. I guess I migh thive to bite the bullet and buy some at a local store til my e*** ones get here. grrrr.............
  6. Would someone please PM or email me to arrange a trade for a gold and a bronze? I have a trading list on the caching place (see link below) and iwll have personal coins in the very near future. Thanks!!
  7. Dreamin Eagle, I'd like to trade for one of each if possible since I missed the sale
  8. I gotta join the party to. I'd like 3 also. Good thing I start a new job tomorrow, was looking like the means to fund hte addiction was getting low.
  9. I often use ctrl+f and search for a keyword of the thread subject to find things. If it's not found then move on to the next page of threads/topics.
  10. How is this proof though if your post office is one that doesn't actively scan DC packages? Anyone could print the label with DC and not actually send the package. Granted I'm sure it's considered fraud to the post office if caught and would not be taken lightly.
  11. Go to your profile page on gc.com and put the code into the box for "forum signature" (of course change the http: address to the address you want the link to point to or you might have someone elses trade list in your signature) and save your profile changes. Then make sure you enter the forums once by clicking the link on the left side of a gc.com page so it sends your settings to the forum server. One time I changed my signature but it didn't show up because I always enter the forums directly from my favorites, I had to enter once from gc.com for hte settings to change on the forum server. Hope that helps.
  12. care to show it? I found it on the forums of their website. Now outdoorman needs to get busy and find another 100 caches so I don't get in trouble for ordering my 500 coin and not his (and my 100 coin again because I accidently had a typo on it and it was my fault, expensive mistake )
  13. Yes but not by much. The cost difference really is only the difference in not having an extra die made. For a 3d die this would be about $150 for the minting so on an on order of 100-500 coins you are talking about saving $0.30 to 1.50 per coin but then you add back in $1.50 per coin for the tracking number and you are right back where you started (assuming that without that die you wouldn't be using tracking numbers).
  14. If your group is willing to go the preorder route you can contact a number of other companies including Oak Coins, Coins & Pins, and many others listed in the intro thread. These companies all have artists who will help you through the whole process if you don't have your design fully complete.
  15. www.geocoinstore.com these guys are the same guys run WWW.GEOCOINCLUB.COM they are actually minting and selling coins for cachers with no up front investment required. they will sell all or part of your coins on thier site. they do the design and everything. oh yeah and you keep any profits. how cool is that? The Caching Place offers coins with no upfront investment as well. I'm not familar with what mint each of the middlemen deal with (there are few actual mints and many companies that sell for those mints), but I personally have not been overly thrilled with the quality of the engraving on the GCC coins produced by geocoinstore. But that's just my personal opinion. Love their GCC coins but not the tracking numbers.
  16. Whose coins are these, I want one as well. Please feel free to contatc me through e-mail with offers for a trade. As always my trader list can be viewed by following my link in my signature line. Me three!! I wonder why only 20 toes are muddy when there are 8 Muddy Feet? Because it started with "8 Muddy Feet" being the Mother, Father, and 2 daughters. Then the daughters wanted their own gc.com name so the daughters became "20 Muddy Toes" since there were two of them.
  17. Whose coins are these, I want one as well. Please feel free to contatc me through e-mail with offers for a trade. As always my trader list can be viewed by following my link in my signature line. Me three!!
  18. They have already been sold out I think. I'll have some regular polished gold and antique silver ones I can trade.
  19. Thanks, that worked and actually I onl had to change 2 digits form yours to change the trader number, LOL. should have figured I needed those tags instead of the normal HTML tags since this board doesn't use the true HTML tags.
  20. How do you insert a clickable link to your trading lists in your forum signature? I tried using HTML like I did to add clickable links to my gc.com profile that people view, but it didn't work. If someone could C&P the code I could amend it to my information and hopefully get it to work I think.
  21. Would you mind sharing this database with others? I have contemplated seting up somethhing similar ot this but haven't dedicatged the time to it. If you dont mind sharing (with our without sample data) I'd like to take a peak. My email is outdoorlady79ATNOSPAMyahoo.com
  22. If Groundspeak wasn't so quick to accept money for tracking numbers that would be a perfect first step. I did not think about that....that might help. But companies other than Groundspeak are selling the numbers, so it might slow the coins but would not stop them. I don't think the companies providing the tracking numbers in smaller quantities would be stupid enough to risk their relationship with grounspeak in obtaining numbers by knowingly let someone other than the person who uses the handle mint the coin. I'm sure grounspeak would be quick to revoke their arrangements and cancel any numbers in the manufacturere possession if they got wind of them being used improperly.
