  1. Cat in chair--"For some reason, they can't ship a ton of catnip to a P. O. box".
  2. Lafrog here Spend hours a day lurking for info. I have 'quietly' learned very much about this game, sport , hobby, pastime. Although I have a few posts, I don't usually put my 2 cents in. Just a thought--If they charged 2 cents per post, some of you would be in serious financial trouble by now.
  3. Yes Parking coords Are the same, But they are two completely different caches. Can a waypoint to one be near a stage to the other?
  4. I'm planning two caches, about a half mile apart. The starting point for both is the same spot. If I make one a 'multi',and the other a regular, can I use a mid-waypoint to the regular nearer than .10 to a stage in the multi?
  5. I've been making staffs this winter to use for F.T.F 's this Spring. I'll put them out in sets of three different lengths. 54"---48"--- and 42" for geomonkees. Each is burned and has my signature frog and a number on them. Those lengths work well.
  6. I agree . If it seems like junk, and looks like junk, it's probably junk. Leave only what YOU would take yourself.
  7. Bugsy Lafrog here from Middlebury, Vermont. Really hooked on this sport,---like everyone else I quess. Can't wait for Old Man Winter to uncover some of the caches around here.
  8. I'm a newbie also, but as a FTF prize on my first hide, I left a home-made hiking staff, which the finder was thrilled to get. So iv'e decided to make this my sig item. While Old Man Winter has many caches in my area disabled, I'll be busy making these for next year. Each is numbered with a "Pease Frog" burned into them.
  9. I'm a carpenter at Middlebury College. Just got started in October 03. hpoe to get into much more in 04
  10. Although I have only 5 finds since coming on , I have read all the history and researched the sport well. There's not a day that goes by that I don't check my cache page and these forums for updates. I placed my first cache at Thanksgiving time, and tried to make it really worth the hike . According to the few finds before snowfall, I think I did alright. I've used even more clever demise in the next one that I plan to hide this spring. (It's ready to go). I truely believe that it's all in the hunt, therefore I'll build unusual caches for my followers to find. You will surely see my find count go up come spring, as most hides in this area are hard to find after snowfall. Don't have a lot of time to hunt with the job, but I'll make time I'm sure . This game does that to you. Cache On Lafrog
  11. It's all in the hide, right? The whole idea of this is to get people to come to a place that you want them to see, not just any old spot, just so you can say --that's my cache, find it ! If these are your only options, just search and never mind hiding.
  12. I do a lot of reading here too, but not many posts. I think everyone needs to have an open mind and a good sense of humor to be able to look at all these replies, and realize that this sport has brought together such a variety of opinions, so as to entertain us this way. I love it . Keep it up! But, when we're after a cache--- We are FAMILY.
  13. Go to "cheaperthandirt.com" for ammo boxes. Sixpack of 30 caliber is only 19.99 So the shipping was 6.00--whoopy, 6 boxes for 26 dollars, what a deal
  14. I'm glad that our very first find was "blackdogs Frog Hollow", a very tough camo job. Gps said 5 feet and we circled for 45 minutes. Tadpole was sitting on it at one time. But the gpsr said we were there so we didn't give up. The effort they put into the hide was worth every minute of the find. Since then the easy ones aren't so exciting, and it's kind of disappointing when the prize is just sitting there in plain view. Great job Blackdog, I intend to make them work a litte ,too.

    Spoilers

Is there a way to delete spoil messages from a logged visit to your cache?
  16. I understand that a cache can't be hidden on or near a railroad, but is o.k to cross a railroad to get to the cache. We have a hiking/bike trail around our town which crosses a railroad at least twice. I've found a good spot along this trail, away from the tracks but need to know if it's alright to have cachers cross to get to this point
