I just found this link for Oregon Hotsprings. Makes this seem not all that unusual.

I have been reading the forums off and on since October. My parents don't want me talking to strangers, even the ones on geocaching. I really had to beg them to let me post here. T R

Its kinda funny how adults act when they get their feelings hurt. When I throw a tantrum, my mom and dad send me to my room until my attitude improves. If that doesn't work then I usually end up with a spanking. From the information I see in this thread you didn't really *read* all of the guidelines. I'm not even 12, and I understand the rules. I'm sorry that you have decided to commit geocaching suicide, your presence will probably be missed in some community. and I hope the spanking you recieve from your mom and dad doesn't hurt too much.
