  1. OK Bill you got me started on these darned forsaken code caches. And here comes another for the line-up. And for those of you that are good in your baseball trivia this should not take too long at all. But for those of you that need to do a litle research this still shouldn't take too long. As for now I will not give a way the website I got the info from but I might give that out at a later date. So here it is.... I present...... (drum roll please) Dreaming of the Major League It should be approved soon.
  2. Cute name, didn't you used to be BKSGRB? Now would everyone stop changing their names for a while so I can print the name tags for the event on October 2nd? Also, everyone should check the Stockton caches on the morning before they come to the event, because I've heard scuttlebutt about caches magically popping up early that morning...... wait hold on... I was gonna change my name too..... ohh nevermind!
  3. If it was archived I would just create a new cache there. And you can name it in honor of the first one you found or something.
  4. Welcome Geo bandits!!!!! (just thought I'd beat Bill to the punch this time!!!!!)
  5. For those of you that selected the Central Valley distribution I hope to have them ready and in my hands for distribution at The Central Valley Get Together. Oct. 2nd I will update on that page to let you know however.
  6. And to think it was just last week that I sent a half a bucket of roofing tar to the dump. Isn't that always the way? As soon as you toss something out you find a really GOOD use for it. WE got all the tar you need, thats my business, we install that stuff!!! All we can say is this was the most laughs we have got out of geocaching so far, glad our new little cache is getting everyone all worked up. Worked up? In TAR?? Is this some kind of sick joke? That sicko/side jumper Camel with his feathers and now we find out GRB is in the Tar Business. At least BKS is with us men! Right?! As someone who works with Camel and lives close-by, I believe he owns a collecton of skirts and dresses he occassionally may wear. I'm not certain of this, but he MAY be in some deep-covert, camoflauge-type mission. This may be the reason for his sudden departure for supporting the men. If not, then I am a little worried about him! I will leave it to Camel to reveal his TRUE identity. As for the tar...well, with access to those type of materials, I would expect a REALLY creative cache hide!! A big bunch of sickos you are!! geez! I get away from the forums for the weekend and now I am wearing dresses???? What abuse I take around here! No dresses here. I wanted to see the ladies Tarred and feathered also.... Heck.... tar and feather everyone I don't care..... like I said I jsut wanted to see it happen!
  7. One more question... who's side are you on anyway? Kenny! LOL.... Well if I was invited I might have been on yours!!!! But I am on neither side.... I pick on everyone! I just wanted to see what it would look like for esomeone to actually BE tarred and feathered.
  8. I'll get the feathers.... Who's buying the Tar?!
  9. OK So I go out last night to find a cache that hadn't been logged yet. (And I work with Sanruft and he even didn't bother to tell me he and Bill had found it..... Gee Thanks Tim!!! ) And I get to the final leg. And while I'm looking I run in to BKS himself. Brian waited long enough to let me find the cache, in the meantime filled me in kind of about what was going on. (though I didn't completely understand it as I had not read the logs here or on the cache page) So I really didn't think I knew what was going on. The last time I knew Tim was there was with me on Sat and we didn't find it then. (that sneaky @#$*% ) So I logged on line 3, (though I guess it should have been line 6) And go home. I still hear nothing until this morning. And don't think you are off the hook either Bill!!!! HAHAHA... Oh well.... a good time seems to have been had by all! Thanks for the adventures everyone!!!
  10. Well some cases that works great. Other cases the owners just dissappear and there is no one to answer emails. Then it wouldn't work. Matt still answers emails..... so your arrangement is great!
  11. Yea, Camel got it right (May I call you Camel? I mean we don't know each other or anything and I'd hate to use the familiar form of your full geocaching name ) .... I was refering to "just start maintaining it" as opposed having the cache "transferred" to your account. Cpl. Camel will do Sarge! Camel is just fine thanks! I do agree however that you don't need permission to take care of a cache! But you certianly would in order to do the full job.
  12. OK, Show us your stuff... missy! [Did you hear it? Unmistakable. Wasn't it!?!] I definitely heard it.... WAAAAYYYY over here in Modesto!! The gauntlet being dropped again? hmmmm..... I might have to call in sick tomorrow and devote the whole day to getting a male FTF on that one then. uhhh wait. Sanruft don't read that last post! *cought - cough*
  14. I must admit I am in those ranks as well. I just haven't logged it yet. thanks for the reminder.
  15. Not yet... it was still being tested to see if it meets (meats) all the standards. Pictured is test number 87 which of course is the drop test. They're still unsure why this one failed that test so badly. Next! I made it out to Stockton today. Cleared up my DNF, replaced Team Alamo's Caching Break cache and maintained A Toast To Marky and Joani. Then I picked up a few more caches to complete a wonderful day of rest. Oh, Camel... did you catch that? A Toast to Marky and Joani was always there! Almost all guys finding that cache too. I was never convinced it was missing!!! HAHA I just haven't been back up there to check on it again! I'll do it though I am determined now!
  16. Other problem with "adopting" without becoming the "owner" is that if another cacher is trying to e-mail/contact the cache owner with a problem, the "adopter" does not get the notification... eg: cacher thinks cache may be AWOL or "no tresspassing" signs may have appeared (or as is often the case, maybe wants a better hint from the owner or maybe wants to confirm coordinates for a puzzle cache) and e-mails the owner instead of posting to the cache page. The "Adopter" would never be able to respond. So, yes, an adopter can certainly keep a cache clean and hidden well, but the adopter is unable to update the cache page with changing conditions. From the book of Geo-Myths... the "adopter" does not get the notifications. The truth is the adopter does get the email. I took over the CVC Tag!!! cache from Georgeandmary and can tell you first hand... anyone clicking on the profile gets my mug shot. Also, I have full ability to edit, delete, etc the cache. One of the first things I edited was the section that states who placed the cache. I added a note that I'm the manager so even if a cachers decides to go dirrect, they'll see I'm the guy to go to. Adoption is an option. [bTW, For the record... CVC Tag!!! cache was forced into adoption because Georgeandmary aren't caching these days and the new/evolving Geo-rules force the owner to be active. That is to say this moving cache (which was grandfathered past the new rules) must have the posted coordinates updated on each find! The system worked just fine for a couple years without all the updates (which are done manually) but since one cacher complained, it had to be changed. - Can you tell the requirement doesn't sit well with us! ] Bill they were referring to "adopting" the cache without actuallly having it moved over to your stats. such as the rofile would have still been going to george and mary but you were the one watching over the cache.
  17. Please go ahead, take away from the silliness. ...After all that was an important announcement! Thanks! Dennis (D of MCgeoDE) I am trying to come up with a sequel to my milestone's cache so that one can have a really good cache for their milestone. As the first one was kinda dull..... I don't really even like doind too many of those types of caches anymore. Or maybe I'll just make this one different but int he same spot! who knows.
  18. No fighting between the cows and the camels. us animals gotta stick together. I was just trying to keep the peace!
  19. BTW that was sarcasim...and if you'd stop geocaching for 2 seconds you'd probably realize that.. And it's 58 FYI no need to get upset cachecow. I'm sure they were just teasing a little as were you. Can't we all just get along?!?!
  20. Not to take away from all of our silliness but..... Congratulations to McGeode for reaching their 200th find the other day. at my Milestones cache.
  21. I think I just heard the glove hit the ground for the challenge...... wait.... yes. Challenge was definitely laid out!
  22. Probably tasted like chicken! (You KNOW it had to be said!!) No Chicken tastes like Camel
  23. why does everyone want to cook me?!?!?!
  24. Not goat. More like Buffalo! I heard the hump meat is quite the delicacy. Lots of fat and marbling. Melt in your mouth tender. I think cachecow's cow has Bovine spongiform encyphalitis! peace! How do we get so far off topic so quickly? HAHA
