  1. Well done Hancocks from us two and good timing with Dave. Hope the celebratory tinnys are nice and cool.
  2. Well done Dave from us two Time to slow down now to my pace
  3. There are plenty of cachers who will enjoy this type of cache although there are also many who will try and complete it by taking short cuts so make sure there are no other ways to complete it if you want them to canoe and climb etc. Personally I love a challenge
  4. Well done Stuey. What's nice is that there was a little bit of meat left on it. Umm tasty.
  5. Well done Terry from us two and thanks for the fun caches you have found time to place recently as well.
  6. Maybe there would be less confusion over swapping coins and travel bugs if that was all that was in the caches besides the log book.
  7. I wonder if we need to re think the whole trading issue When Geocaching started there were only a few caches around and trading was a good idea. Now the only plus side as far as I can see is to encourage children. Most cachers start off by trading then get a bit down hearted by moving the same old tut around from cache to cache. Eventually they stop trading altogether. Personally I don't trade any more and only very rarely find anything I would like. A few good hearted cachers always trade up (mainly forum readers) but this will never stop the tide of human nature which is to take what they want and leave what ever they can get away with. Are we not just potentially adding to the litter out there. The only things I take from caches these days are soggy bits of paper and card and decaying sweets etc. Not trying to ruffle feathers, just putting the thought out there.
  8. Bye bye from us two. Have a great life full of adventures. I'm sure we will meet up again one day XX
  9. I'm planning my first event for mid July which will be called Carry Your Own Camping. Somewhere in the middle of Dartmoor for one night only. No electric hook ups at this one!
  10. Looks like his dog has been chewing the tyres
  11. Tried to put a pic on here but failed dismally so visit here to see the result in my post. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_detai...04-bd9e06e07bf8
  12. Having involvement in the building trade I have learnt to be totally impetric
  13. I have also found these useful. http://www.geocachingireland.com/index.php...0&Itemid=37
  14. Click on Hide and Seek a Cache on the home page and on the right hand side under Stash Notes there is (132 doc log). Click on this and bingo!
  15. Is there any truth in the rumour that two GPSr's turned on near each other can effect the accuracy shown as compared to when they are apart? I have seen this happen with two etrex's but wasn't sure if it was just down to random variable readouts.
  16. http://www.geocaching.com/seek/log.aspx?LU...4a-122078bc59dc Managed to do one yesterday on our first anniversary as well. Congrats to you on your marriage.
  17. I have one every Thursday and mine arrived just before midnight last night. It normally appears about tea time.
  18. We will be at both. Sounds like a good laugh. Hope you have a wash between events p.s. we would like to see the guest room at your new home painted a lovely Chelsea blue just in case
  19. I have often wondered if record runs encourage driving which would otherwise be more sedate. Also first to finders may find themselves travelling a little too quickly.
  20. Well done chaps from us two Good choice for a landmark cache.
  21. Is this a good time to mention my Dad's late friend, a cattle farmer, who was tragically gored to death by one of his own cows earlier this year? Sorry to hear about your Dad's late friend. My point was that there are thousands of farmers coming into contact daily with cows and thankfully not many incidents. I would guess that by the laws of average it is fairly safe. When dogs are involved and calves are present that is a different matter.
  22. I always carry a stout walking stick so walk straight through them. If the farmers don't come to any harm then I figure I should be alright. They are curious creatures and some times come running over to see what's going on but normally stop short of you. And I show no fear
  23. We have a nice six berth frame tent you are welcome to borrow.
