  1. Ive just received ten or so emails from the system telling me someone had logged all my caches today. Looking back through, I see that one prolific cacher in my area has, for whatever reason, had his previous account deleted and is now relogging under a new name. Is this acceptable behaviour - because I dont know the reasons behind why or how his first account ceased, but I think its a bit of a cheek for him to just open up a new account and not get his old one sorted out with geocaching.com..... unless geocaching.com closed it in the first place. Your suggestions please. Do I simply delete these logged finds, contact geocaching or do nothing?
  2. Now I know I'm dumb!! Thanks for the response.
  3. I dont know if this ones been done before (probably has)... here goes. I tend to look at the previous caches I have done and keep a watch on them to see what others make of them when they find them/dont find them. To do this at the moment I log on to my profile page, click on caches found and then scroll page by page looking for the *Today and *Yesterday tags..... Does this sound familiar to other cachers? Is there any chance geocaching.com can instigate a quick link or something just to pull up the caches that ive completed previous and that have new logs added to them in the last couple of days --- I guess it the nosey neighbour in me, but I get a satisfying kick when I see a particularly hard cache not found over and over again... and a pang of envy when ones that took me so long are done by others with apparent ease.... Would be nice to click one link and see the updates there in front of you.
  4. Thanks for the pointers towards the Rino's - these look like the best option HOWEVER, I am in the UK and cant find any information as to the legality of them over here. Any OTHER options - lattitudes relies on a windows phone - dont like my HTC Diamond as it is - let alone adding more software to it! Any UK cachers using Rinos or similar?
  5. Is there a GPS system out there that combines GPS and Phone Signals to let other team members know where you are in relation to them. A real world example would be the "Tom Tom Buddies" application on a tomtom, but is there a handheld GPS system with an equivalent system on it? answers on a postcard please. I would like to be able to see where my better half is when were lost in the woods!
  6. sorry, I cant see how this script is supposed to work? I get no weather data on screen. - actually - forget that, just me being dumb. I was expecting to see a small weather map or something (which would be good in any future release hint hint ) - but I didnt read all your info! Found the link now.
  7. Thats a really good idea and one I would like to see also (having two yoyos myself)
  8. I do put logs in to my own cache site (which is just a few seconds from my front door) when I am dealing with my personal geocoin. Since he/it travels everywhere with me, I log it in and out of each cache site I do, and then at the end of the day on occasion I will log it in to the "home" cache. This is purely to keep a track on how many miles I am doing between caches. I think that, and in the case when you adopt a cache you previously already logged as found, are both situations where self logging is acceptable.
