  2. yeah, no problem at all. its nice to know we can travel to 800KM and be at 33K ft. also you know exactely where you are...something the crew sometimes does not like by the way, you may be asked to turn it off.. etrekker_mtl
  3. Folks, just switched my palm treo using cachemate to a Audiovox Smartphone running windows. I cannot use GPXsonar it looks like...any idea on a piece of software I could use to geocache using this phone/semi-pda ? I am looking for the same functionnality as gpxsonar or cachemate thx in advance ! etrekker_mtl
  4. I guess this procedure will give me new custom icons to my mapsource or gps. But still, there is a need to read a cache's type, to assign it a special icon (traditional are red, multi are green, mystery are yellow etc). So when reading a .gpx file, mapsource needs to parse the cache type for each cache and assign it an icon...how do we do that ? andre
  5. Folks, has anyone ever had the need in Mapsource to have different icons for caches depending on their types ? right now in map source, all caches a grey treasure chests, opened when found, and closed when not. Anyone know how we could have lets say red chests for traditional caches, green chests for multi-caches, yellow for unknown etc ? this would be very valuable when using in mapsource (or the gps for that matter once waypoints are transferred...), at a glance we could see where the tradionals are as you want to do those first for example ? I guess this depends on both geocaching.com sending the type, and mapsource interpreting it....right ? any attempts to this are good... andre
