During my 1st Cache hunting I was soon disappointed, as I noticed when I was at the place,
that was described, quite far away from the co-ordinates, that were given.
I used a MEDION PE 470T, where I have only a compass with the current location - I could not get
the destination data entered (I wonder, if that is possible at all).
Back at home (without finding a cache), I became aware, what happened:
The default data in GC are not in the metric scheme given, as the MEDION uses (only).
So for the next try I have to note down in addition these metric values as well (not part of the printed page).
The metric data will be displayed, when you click at the cache description page on
"other conversions" behind the co-ordinates. Then you get under
"Normal GPS Coordinates - Decimal" the values, that you need.
There is not much difference to the default data, so I did not become aware of that before the start of
the tour.
I just wanted to share this here, since this is a trap for newbies with GPS equipment with only metric
data in general, I guess.
Good luck!
