Garmin recently did a free repair on one of our etrex that we've had nearly 5 years . Only difference from first free repair,about a year ago for a different problem , was that this time it wasn't done "while we wait " . Had to leave it with them .but they returned it to us repaired and without postal charges within a few days .

Perhaps off topic ..... We will not be voting for anyone who insists on making an issue of Chairman versus Chairperson . Plus we feel anyone who believes they have the time and commitment to be on the comittee of G.A.G.B should be noticing and remember ng significant postings on G.A.G.B. site without requiring additional postings on the G.C. Com site .

Just our opinion on spam mail. We only consider it spam when we get emails from people we have never heard of that are trying to sell us something or are offering us a "good time " and/or introductions to porns sites for example. Such emails NEVER get opened by us and are deleted via spam filter . In this instance knew the sender of email is a cacher and we had no qualms about opening the email . Again ..only our opinion .

We got one as well ...but we don't consider it spam so we'll not be be making a complaint .

I have only sought two caches alone. I wouldn't seek any cache ,without female company ,that involved counting swings etc in play areas .

If you haven't gone "paperless" I'll be alright . Many yearsago walking on Dartmoor with husband we came across a business suit ....the owner was sunbatheing naked nearby in a hollow .

When our logs say "we " the cache has been found by male and female together (married ). When log says "I" it usualy means the cache was found by me alone (female) . That probably accounts for nearly half our finds . Big taf ..male Little taf.. female Most postings made by us on here are female .

I do say hello to the sometimes uneasy looking lone man who is walking towards me with a fixed straight ahead stare . Seems to make most lone men look less uncomfortable with the situation . But a man walking in a businness suite in a countryside landscape does make me wonder . Like why are they there if not walking a dog .

Yes ,and don't have dogs to take with me . I feel I could just as easily fall down the stairs at home as i could fall over something while out . At least when out I have mobile phone to hand.I wouldn't be able to reach the fixed phones at home from halfway down the stairs . A few years ago I got told more men and male teenagers get attacked than women and female teenagers ,but the attacks on females are more likely to get media attention . Mobile coverage not good in places ,but that's another matter .

We are happy just to find a log book . We enjoy the expedition to the cache sites more than looking at the cache contents . Things that can tempt us to swop are freebie C.D.'s from the weekend newspapers . Or unusual corporate freebies .. like mini mouse mat "coaster"

A cute little toy dog with magnetic paws We keep him placed spread-eagle fashion on top of a desk lamp and he gets very hot under the collar when the light is switched on !

My next question is ...does that mean that before the invention of polythene it was not possible to make for supplementary feed for cows through the winter ?

Is it too off topic to ask if yester years brown paper carrier bags and grease proof paper for wrapping sandwiches were any better for the enviroment than todays polythene and clingwrap ? Why did farmers start wrapping the hay ,or is it straw ,in black poly ?

"They" are making garden furniture ,decking and mock railway sleepers for garden use out of recycled plastic stuff of some sort .

Oh'er ! We've got a problem or two. We couldn't see anything rude about The White Familie' online log and note on Nuclear Bunker cache . Very responsible attitude we thought . And good response from cache owner in not deleting an unfavourable log ,which we gather does sometimes happen .
