How do we get there? We also print one page for cache details and print "street map" on reverse side . We rely on AA Road map and O.S. map if we have one of area to get us to the general area . Then it's down to me ,the female and also the best navigator of us two, to find the parking. G.P.S. usually in boot of car where it's no use to us! Minor "Domestic " guaranteed if there are one way streets and signs saying no left /right turns in our way !

1 We always take something from the cache . We would find it too clumsy to attempt to write in the log book while it is still in the container 2 We then always leave the log book in the container before departing .

PTT Wouldn't we stil need mobile phone coverage for that to work? We are after something to use in those spots where mobile phone signal gets lost .

Buying on line no prob ..but visiting their store in Southampton no prob either . Remembering to remove the batteries when not in use could be a problem . Guess all brands of Walkie Talkies would have equal appetite ?

Yesterday when doing a multi virtual cache we reached a stage where I couldn't manage a long climb up steep flight of hillside steps . Me , woman ,stayed at bottom while man did the volunteer job of ascending . Transpired he needed to go further than we first thought . Though in distant view of each other I had no mobile phone cover down in a hollow . Took much arm waving and shouting to get message up to him to relay a change of plans that would save him un-necessarily descending the steep steps . Hope the army helicopter that came and flew low over us soon after was just co-incidence !

Just realised how usefull a Walkie Talkie could be when out in the field . Please ,does anyone have recommendations for what to look for when purchasing one . Cheap , light and small in size preferable .

Do you mean like if I was to express an opinion that cache containers left in place (abandoned)after they have been archived could be a potential for "embarrassment " to caching in years to come?

We used to move Travel Bugs . Recently stopped because of not wanting to have anymore Travel Bugs reported as missing after we log we have placed them in a cache . We once left two Travel Bugs in one well stocked cache and the next two finders wrote they couldn't see them in there . That resulted in us receiving an email from concerned owner of one of Travel Bugs. Fortunately (3rd)next finder of cache noticed the Travel Bugs amongst the swops . Another Travel Bug we put in a cache was never logged out of that cache ...but mysteriously it was found over a year later unlogged in another newish cache . Strangely, it was'n't until after that one safely re-appeared that we decided we didn't want another Travel Bug to seemingly go missing with our names beside it's last log . We now just write in log book and online that we haven't taken the Travel Bug/s when we notice them in caches we find .

We logged that one by the Warminster entrance a few days ago.....but just spotted that duplicates for that cache can be logged .

Why do some contributors to this forum sometimes hightlight so called spelling mistakes on some peoples postings ?
