  1. I am looking for an online converter to change an address to a corrdinate to plug into my GPS As I hopeing to ggo on a trip the tours micro breweries and brew pubs. unfortunatly I only have the addresses and my computer software is not good enough. Thanks
  2. If you take 5 Gallon Buckett and use that as your container when you submerg it you could flood the container and put a note on the cache that anything going in the cache will have to suvive under water. For the log book you could use a diving slate and greese pencil you could still ancor it. but this might work. Good luck I hope your cache works the way you want it to.
  3. I have had the same problem with some of my own TB's Out of my own Cache. After a little bit of reseach i Found that it is that many people although enjoy taking TB's they don't know how to log them. as a solution i have started adding tags to my bug with a step by step on how to log them as well as a simple not in the cache saying Don't forget to log TB's.
  4. I am looking to make several micro TB's and need help with some examples I have a few ideas but i really like making a story for the TB and would like to get a head start on designing them. Thanks for ou examples and suggestions.
  5. Is it a printed magazine or is it an online thing?
  6. I am very interested in seeing what people have come up with and have noticed alot of themed caches in my area. I am trying to come up with one of my own. Interested to hear about what you have seen, So what are some of the themes you have seen?
  7. I am thinking photo copies of the map.
  8. I was thinking of a treasure map cache. It could be considered a multi or a mystery. The first part would be corrdinates to find a treasure map. then you would have to follow the clues on the map to get the parts of the corrdinates. which are placed on magnetic strips. Once you have all the corrdinates you can go to the final stage. the thing that makes the cache difficult is that you have to figure out what certain clues mean on it ect and there are no corrdinates invoved in finding the pieces. Your thoughts.
  9. That won't work people like to complain and have other people see it.
  10. I see in these threads all the time people who hate and people who like Micros. Yes i am a big fan of Micro. I am interested to see what the best micro people have ever found was and why.

    Micros

Sorry I posted in wrong spot
  12. We are $1.99 per gallon java script:emoticon('',%20'smid_14')
  13. I have a older palm Vx i was wondering if i could use this for paperless caching or is it to old? has anyone used an older model like this? Also if so what do i need to get started?
  14. I was thinking a book on brewing for a FTF, and then the little printed book would have the steps and one or two recipies.
  15. What i was thinking as something you could take from the cache was a small print out oragami book that i know how to make with directions on how to make beer as well as soda. It isn't just a cache about making beer but also making soda. I remember making soda with my dad when I was younger it was a fun to make things that were a little different. when it comes to an event i would also include soda making. once again let me know what you think.
  16. If i saw that there was a test i laugh and never start geo caching.
  17. I am a home brewer, meaning i make my own beer, wine, and soda. I am wanting to find more people that brew in my area or even who might be interested. If i were to put out a cache that was about home brewing would it be braking any rules. Also if i set up an even cache where it was an intro to home brewing and also included caching. would that be against the rules. your imput please. Cheers! Lost Brews
  18. Not this again. If people think micros are so much of a problem come up with a way to make them better or more interesting. I personally am working on making a series of TB's That will fit in smaller micros with a mission to visit all the great micros out there. I love micros and have no problem with finding them I do appreciate it when they are creative or very challenging.
  19. I would some what agree with you I am not a big fan of going to a cache and finding a bunch of rusted junk. I don't think thought that the caches should be labled in a manner ADULTS/KIDS. The sollution I have been able to come up with is to put only things in a cache that could be used for travel bugs. When I post a cache I try and specify that the only things i would like to see traded in the cache are things to make Tb's. Not every pays attention to that rule but I do go out and try to maintain the cache and keep it clutter free. In this was you are making it so that the things traded are of a little higher quality. Since I have started this I feel the quality of things i find in my area have gone up and i have seen more TB's moving through the area. The other good thing that has help is some more experienced cacher have moved to the area or come out of the woodwork and the cache quality in the area has gone up as well as what is in the cache. Cheers!
  20. i use watch list when my wife puts out a cache so i get emails when it is found. In most cases i am the one who put the cache together and helped hide it. I never log them as a find but i do watch to see what people think. another use for watch list is if there is a cache that is similar to one you want to put out you can watch it to see what people think. Cheers!
  21. Both your plans are great, where are you going to start you MLBTB's? I have heard of a teacher who started a travel bug for each member of her class as part of a geography project. the student would have to present once a month for an entire year on where there bug was. The bug who traveled the most got a prize.
  22. I live in North Dakota where it get really realy cold and if you want to deture the FTFer's place you cache in the middle of winter on a 3 mile hike. Most people are detured by freezing temps that way in the spring the normal FTFer might not remember the cache and that would give other cachers a chance. of course you would have to place the cache in the winter yourself it works if you are willing to do it.
  23. What is the collest TB or TB Mission you have seen. The coolest one i have found was actually a series of TB's it was The Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf. I was able to obtain 2 of the 4 TBs and Am now working on moving them on. Cheers! Lost Brews
