  1. OK. I did that with my PC, so I can still do that? What folder on my GPS do I drag it into?
  2. Tried searching topics but didn't work. I no longer have a regular PC, I only have a MAC. 1. Can I use GSAK? 2. How do I get multiple caches on my 400T without having to "send to GPS" all individually. 3. Any other good caching programs for the MAC and the 400T? Thanks for the help.
  3. Well I tried the Garmin Road Trip. That is awesome for what I need my GPS for. I ran a PQ and imported it into Road Trip and downloaded the caches to my Colorado. Worked great and WAAAAAY easier than GSAK. I was never a fan of GSAK as my brain just didn't get it. My only gripe so far is when you import the PQ it lists the caches in Road Trip by cache NUMBER instead of cache NAME.
  4. That is awesome. That is what I was looking for. Pocket query option, own waypoints that I load manually into my Garmin and GC ability. That is really all I use. Thanks for that.
  5. I use a Mac, Oregon 400T and GC.com with no problems at all. The only thing I can't do is run GSAK. So how do you manage your own personally waypoints and such? That is what I was using GSAK for. I know I can just keep them on my Garmin but what if I want to remove them from the Garmin and same them to some software. For the simple GC.com geocaching it seems like I will be fine. Correct?
  6. I could use your help. I have been using GSAK on my windows computer. We now switched over to Mac. Any programs out there that tie in 1)geocaching.com with 2)Garmin Colorado 400T with 3)My new Mac. Thank you for the support.
  7. Thk you. I can not ask my question because I am not registered and haven't paid. I will when I can get things working properly but at this point GSAK is useless so far. I am running GSAK ver 7.5.0.188. I have about 20 GC's in my handheld in which I have loaded directly from www.geocaching.com (premium member) so I can just send them directly to handheld. All I am trying to do is get those geocaches that I have found into GSAK so I can look at them and keep them there. Then I can delete them from the handheld and load more. Hopefully I have explained it a bit better. Firstly, you do not have to be a paying user of GSAK to ask questions and get some quick answers. The people on the GSAK forum are very helpful and I would bet that after you see what they will do to support you that you will gladly buy the product and enjoy caching all the more with the awesome functionality and many macros available ... rufnredy a VERY satisfied GSAK user ... My bad. You are correct. I logged in and asked for help. Hope I get some. I am so frustrated.

  9. More specifically look here for the cache export macro and here for field notes import. Dead easy to use even just with the default settings. And links to these and lots of really useful stuf can be found in the colorado wiki I have tried all this and getting frustrated. I downloaded the latest version of GSAK. I ran the macro. I have 20 Geocaches in the 400T and when I run the macro it says successful you have downloaded 1 geocache. What am I doing wrong. Also when I use the field note macro I get an error message and it will not do anything.
  10. I need help. So my Colorado is hooked up via USB cable. I go on GSAK and am trying to get the info (geocaches and latest routes) from my Colorado to GSAK. I then do the following. GPS Receive waypoints use defaults Then I get an error message asking if my GPS is connected etc.
  11. Take your PQ and unzip the file. Then open up your 400t on your computer. Just drag and drop your unzipped PQ into the main folder on it (I can't think of what the folder is named by default) but it's the top folder. From there what I do is in that main folder I have a bunch of folder's with names from different area's near me. I put the unzipped PQ into the corresponding folder. Then when you unhook the 400t from your computer and turn it on. Your cache's should then show up on the map in the 400t. And in geocaching mode. You can then go and look at the cache info by clicking on a cache or by scrolling threw the list of cache's under geocaching. If you need this explained a little clearer send me a PM and I'll be happy to try and help you with it. Once you've done it a few time's it is very easy to do. Enjoy that Colorado!!! I can get the geocache to show up on my 400. I just go to geocache.com and hit send to Garmin. My issue is I can not get the geocache from the 400 to my MapSource software that they provided with the 400. I can not see the geocaches on the map on the computer.
  12. WOW this thing is awesome. I did get the 400T. Now I have a question. I loaded the MapSource software. I loaded a few waypoints but how about geocaches? I loaded them from geocache.com to the handheld but when I synced them to Mapsource I could not find them. Any help would be great.
  13. Well I went for it. Just ordered me a Colorado 400T. I got a great deal on a new one.
  14. Sounds like all really like the 60csx. So does that unit synced directly with www.geocaching.com? Can I load my caches directly to it and then when found directly back. I am tired of the extra steps with GSAK and Vantagepoint for the Magellan. Thanks.
  15. First we are now starting to get a little more serious about this. I have a Magellan Triton GPS and it is not user friendly with geocaching.com and Vantage Point. I heard the Garmin's are. If we use it for Geocaching and ATVing what is the best model/brand? Secondly, we finally got our First to Find. They had a cool certificate in it. Is there a template for that or were they just really creative?
  16. Hello. The family has been doing this now for about a year. We got addicted by some friends. Hola!
