  1. An article in USA Today back in 2001 is how I found out about geocaching so this is not their first article on the subject! As I recall the previous article back in 2001 was very favorable towards geocaching so I'm glad to see they are still keeping it in a positive light.
  2. Well put and a great idea. This exact scenario happened to me just this past week. The newbie in question was just very gung-ho about discovering the sport and I don't think he thought about what his pictures revealed. I very politely let him know and he immediately updated his log. No hard feelings on my end I just didn't want it to spoil the find for others. In these cases the old saying"a picture is worth a thousand words" says it all...
  3. Dihydrogen Monoxide can actually cause severe burns if heated to 212 degrees.
  4. I saw "Full swarms" emerging in Green Lane park, Montgomery Co., PA (southeast PA) last weekend. Has anyone else noticed an emergence in their area? I live only a few miles away and have none at my house (Yet)! Seeing those dadgum things brought back horrible childhood memories of getting them stuck in my hair, etc.
  5. I went to Green Lane county park in SE Pennsylvania last weekend. Although I have none at my house 5 miles away, there were thousands starting to emerge there!
  6. Niteize has a pretty interesting hands free "GPS holster" that might be what you're looking for. I don't have one so I don't know if it's any good or not, but is sure looks pretty cool...or nerdly...you decide! Niteize PS. The product demonstration video shows how to carry it handsfree while in a postion to get a signal.
  7. I was just at skyline drive this past weekend... I found Stony Man Cache...very family friendly hike except children should be carefully watched near the view! (cliffs) I wanted to do Mary's rock "at the rock" cache but it was pouring rain on monday so we left the park(wusses, I know)
