  1. If only the tires were clean - then I would have been impressed. DublinJeepers
  2. So when are you gonna post the picture or a link to it? DJ
  3. Did he mention it was the Hooter's Campsite Training grounds?? Would that be Wow-sufficient?? I created a Hooters Training Camp traditional cache, but Admin didn't think the actual cache location was "Family" friendly (besides the fact if you got the wrong girl there was a LOT of explaining to do) so they requested I change it to a virtual cache instead. 4. "Exempt" means that Haz-mat and/or passenger carrying commercial vehicles do not have to stop prior to crossing the tracks. Concerning railroads - railroads are private property and thus any access IS in fact trespassing. Railroads are dangerous places whether you think they are active or not. If the tracks exist, there is the possibility of a train. Being involved with railroads myself, I strongly suggest against placing any cache on or near any railroad right of way. 5. Not only should the parking coordinates to conserve fuel be listed but I think every cache should have a large orange arrow pointing to the exact cache location. There is nothing I hate more than having to spend an additional 10-15 minutes searching for a cache hidden under some rock or pile of sticks and leaves. I want to find it - log it and get on to the next one. Logging the total number of caches is the main goal right? Who cares about the so called "thrill of the hunt". Really now, I've gone to a location to track a cache and parked in what I thought to be a good parking spot only to walk through a grove of trees and find another parking area between where I parked and the cache. I must admit, I laughed outloud! My daughter asked what was so funny and I had to try and explain to her the irony. Oh, well, I looked at it as a good chance for a walk. Some people will walk a thousand yards to chase a little white ball around a golf course, walking a few extra yards finding a cache in the woods seems rather enjoyable to me. 6. Blah, blah blah blah blah . . . tree huggin . . . Bunny lovers blah, blah blah. OK, seriously, this is a perfect example of the Feds overstepping their boundaries. The Federals (USF&WS) have no legal jurisdiction over any state lands or areas. The US Federal Government can only have legal jurisdiction over US territories and lands (Guam, Puerto Rico). The states are seperate individual self governing bodies joined together in a Union we call the United States of America. I could go on and on but this isn't the place. I only wanted to make my point that they are infringing on our right of Life, Liberty (to Geocache) and the pursuit of hapiness (Through caching). DublinJeeper
  7. Be aware that most hunting accidents occur during dawn and dusk when the light is dim and it's more difficult to see. I recommend wearing bright orange colors (colours for you Canadians) during the season. Most hunters are going to be in designated hunting areas rather than metro-parks; but I'm only speaking for areas I know around central Ohio. If you have any doubt about whether it's safe to cache an area DON'T! Anyway, be safe and happy caching! DublinJeepers
  8. I just posted 5 new travel coins and every one of them turned up as a TB! How discouraging. These coins look nothng like the mouse in the picture. . . . G ;-)
  9. I can't remember how to set the owner info for the start-up screen on the Garmin Vista. Can anyone help? Thanks G Columbus, O
