I don't know of you are still seeking Wolf Coins, but version 3 of the Wolf Haven International Geocoins is now available on eBay. Proceeds go to support the non-profit organization.

After comments on another thread about my financial motives, I want to clarify the monetary aspects of this project. At the time of purchase, approximately 40% of the coin price from the initial sale will go to support the great work of this extraordinary wolf sanctuary. Once the finances are all settled, I will donate all remaining funds beyond my costs. I have no purpose or intention to profit. The point of this entire project is to support and promote the work of Wolf Haven. Please tell your fellow cachers! Let's get these coins into the wild! Thanks

The newest Wolf Haven Geocoins are now on sale! Only 250 coins have been minted in gold. Of those coins, 75 went to Wolf Haven International's gift shop in Tenino, Washington. The remaining coins will probably sell very quickly among collectors, based on historic sales from previous mintings. At the time of purchase, approximately 40% of the coin price from the initial sale will go to support the great work of this extraordinary organization. After another cacher provided some tips and advice for Ebay shipping, I believe the international fees are now approximately $7.00 - instead of $18. These fees are still based on Ebay's calculated shipping costs. As it turns out, the system was originally calculating with a shipping weight of one US pound (16 oz). Thanks to all who advised me as well as those supporting Wolf Haven!

From within the listing on Ebay, I have the international options of fixed worldwide shipping or calculated worldwide shipping. After a review of the rates, calculated costs were lower. I chose that option. Unless I missed some other piece of information, I'm at a loss about how to reduce the high international shipping costs. By no means is the shipping money going into my pocket. This entire geocoin project has been to raise money and awareness for Wolf Haven International. Again any advice or solutions are appreciated.

Ladies and Gentlemen, I apologize for the international shipping costs, but those are set by calculated costs on Ebay. If I can find a cheaper method to add to the listing, I will happily do so. Hi Badger10, I think Oakcoins sold-out quite a while ago, but the Wolf Haven gift shop may still have coins. I checked their online store, but couldn't find them. I recommend you give them a call and ask. I bet they'll work with you to get one, if them still have them. Their number is (800) 448-9653. I understand the issue of the fur lines... Our eyes naturally see the perspective problems. Take a look at some howling wolf pictures on the net. You will see the fur naturally parts in clumps, the largest are closest to you and are straight up and down. The further up or "around" the neck you go, the smaller, narrower, and more rotated they get until they stick out sideways like you already have in the outline of the coin shape. My Wolf Haven coin was modeled after a real wolf photo. I think you'll see what I mean...

I had been looking for a "wolf" coin for some time, but found nothing available. That's when I came upon the idea of designing my own support coin for a great organization like Wolf Haven, which also supports conservation and education about wild wolves. Just to be clear, the only thing I get from the sale of any Wolf Haven coin is the pleasure of seeing the support for the organization. My time, effort, and design has also been donated. I am really hoping the coins will sell quickly. To date there was only just over 100 minted in total, between the antique bronze and antique silver colors. In addition to raising money for Wolf Haven, I want to increase awareness about the valuable role wolves play in the overall ecosystem. Thank you to all for your support and encouragement. Emma at Oakcoins was a pleasure to work with on this project. She made the whole process easy and pain free.

After many months of design and communication, my idea of a geocoin in support Wolf Haven International has become a reality. For every coin purchased, Wolf Haven will receive a donation from the proceeds. They should be available soon on geoswag's website.

Is it possible to search the website for certain user activity? For example, I want to search for my brother's family user name to see what caches they have found recently. If this option is currently availiable. I cannot find it. Thanks
