  1. North Coventry Township, PA (other side of river from Pottstown) We have them here. Not many however. JegMag Jack and Mary Ann
  2. Oh, we are in PA also, our cache was approved by MissPlaced -- is that another name of the Keystone Approver??? JegMag
  3. We entered one last evening probably around 6pm and it got the approval email before midnight! Must have hit all the lights! JegMag
  4. We have taken many batteries out of caches that have been corroded -- any moisture will seem to get to them. We have also taken batteries that worn down so quickly that we wondered if perhaps someone changed batteries and left the old ones! Batteries in their original shrink wrap seemed to be ok, but I don't think I would leave loose ones. Also -- I know people think it is cool to leave dog treats -- but....once they mold they are not so nice to find! Yuck JegMag
  5. What causes it?? High insteps, high arches, strain on the foot, poorly fitting shoes, funky feet?. Mine responded to icing at night, being wrapped and meds. My doc also recommended New Balance cross trainers which I wore all the time for months until it was fully healed. It is basically inflammation that is constantly walked upon and not allowed to heal. Some cases respond better than others and some are worse than others. JegMag
  6. Inspector Gadget -- you have plantar faciatis -- maybe not spelled correctly, but it certainly matches the symptons you are describing. Get yourself to a podiatrist! JegMag
  7. Could be they have a 'master plan'. We are working with another cacher on a 'plan' for a bug that will involve logging him in and out of several caches before the final placement. It is a game after all! JegMag
  8. Now that is funny! Would have loved to be one of the boats when they pulled her in! JegMag
  9. If you do a search on zip code 19465 I think you will find some outstanding caches. You will be near Philadelphia and Reading areas. JegMag

    Tb Rant

It's a game, and I admit it, I grab all travel bugs! We once picked up a bug on his way to Florida. The next person that grabbed him promptly took him to Canada. Oh boy, I thought. But guess what -- the very next person was on their way to Florida and promptly delivered him. So, just because they take a detour does not mean they are lost. And my evil twin thinks sometimes it is fun to move the bugs in the opposite direction. Now if they had a very specific goal and reason, I probably wouldn't. But if the goal is general, I try to have fun with the bug and the owner. Lighten up and enjoy the game. Life is way to serious. JegMag
  11. I think that you, as the bug owner, could inquire about your bug at any time. Mary Ann JegMag
  12. Hi, If you go to a Rubber Stamping website and look for Shrink Plastic -- this is the same as the Shrinky Dinks. It even comes in different colors. I don't know what the cost difference is. Mary Ann
  13. Please no dog bones -- they tend to get moldy and yucky if there is any moisture. I know many people leave batteries -- which is a nice thought, however; we have found many that have corroded. I think this was due to moisture exposure also. Packs of tissue are most appreciated! Mary Ann
  14. I found a Nomad car with a card board tag that I supposed could be called a traveler. I got in touch with the original owner and he said it was ok to attach an 'official tag'. This one had started in CA in May 2002 and picked up in PA in November 2003. JegMag
  15. I love the crazies! They are the fun ones of the bunch! JegMag
  16. I am trying to unlurk -- but after I read all the posts, there is no time!!! JegMag
  17. I think my Mother sort of gets it. Although she will ask if we are going out 'gouging'. JegMag
  18. My PA hero is edscott -- doesn't use a GPS! How does he do it????? JegMag
  19. I have a question for all of you that have had experience with various units. Which had the best display for those of us with middle age eyes?? (And how did that happen?????) We have a Legend, but I find that a bit small and hate to be carrying my reading glasses with me. Thanks JegMag
  20. You really have to be on top of things to be FTF in my area! But we enjoy the hunt most of all! It's a game, enjoy it. JegMag
  21. Been lurking for a while here, so now I will come into the light. Caching since October, totally hooked. Also don't speak in complete sentences anymore! I am enjoying all the posts -- especially the ones from the 'troublemakers'. Just makes life interesting! JegMag
  22. Hi, Since I don't like to admit to lurking, I thought I would pop in here! Been caching since October -- totally addicted! My question is -- If money were no object, which GPS would you all select. Mrs. Mag JegMag
