After reading thru some posts and cache logs, I have seem several references to signature items. I find this interesting and decided to get my own signature item. I have just ordered 1 pound of wooden nickels with one side with printing and the other side blank. I am going to come up with my own design for the blank side. Would this be a good signature item?? What are some examples of signature items that you have seen??

I am going to wait a week and see if we get a response from our e-mail requesting a point of contact. If we get none, Then I will be writing the public affairs office, and I will also be considering writing my Senator and Congressmen. I am a little leary on writing my elected officials as they may end up doing more harm than good. We will have teo wait and see. And I would suggest that everyone send not only an e-mail but a written letter also. Yes, letters can be thrown away and e-mails can be deleted. But if we keep them busy with both, they may be a little more open to discussion. But I think pointing out that virtual caches are still going to be allowed was good, as it is open to the public and taking pictures is not illegal as of yet. But give Congress a couple of weeks and it might be.....

It would be a nice feature if they could add the ability to see who is watching this cache. Put a link up there under the Log your visit and watch this cache links. Give everyone the ability to see who is watching. At least the owner should have that ability, but would be nice for everyone to see. Just my 2 cents....

A dedicated Geocaching mode...now that sounds nice..... Now if they could only find a way to have it automatically download the finds and update the geocaching.com site as to when you found a cache. Maybe when you do a sync...sounds like a nice feature for Cachemate software.....Maybe I can e-mail him and see what he says.... Baptist Deacon

Is there a way to interface a Handspring Visor and a Etrex Vista? Cachemate has an option to get the current location from your gps.. Is there a special cable that must be purchased or a special interface card? Hopefully this post will work. This will be the 3rd time in 3 days I have tried to post. Baptist Deacon

is there a way to interface an Etrex Vista and a Handspring Visor PDA? I just registered the Cachemate program and noticed it had a section for getting coordinates from a gps. Now that I have my registration # for Cachmate, I am ready to start my journey on paperless caching. My question is this. There is a feature in Cachemate to find nearest cach's and allows you to either enter the coordinates or get them from GPS. I have a handspring Visor Deluxe and a Garmin Etrix Vista GPSr. Is there a cable that connects the two of them?? Do I need to purchase an expansion card for the Handspring?? I would like to see the pocket queries moved from a scheduled run to an instant "Submit my query now" button. That or set up an option so that premium members could get the same info from the normal search page. Maybe a little button under the download waypoints page that would give you the gpx format option. I could be wrong, but seems like it would put less strain on the server. But hey, I could be wrong. Just ask my wife.
