  1. When, where and what geocoin did you see first? Actually saw/picked up my first two geocoins (and a couple TBs) at our first event we attended. A South Carolina Geocoin and an Oklahoma Geocoin. When and what geocoin did you first buy? My wife actually purchased my first geocoin(s) for me for Christmas 2008. The very first was a Geocoinfest 2008 Covered Bridges Geocoin. When did you make your first personal coin? N/A if you haven't yet, why not? Haven't yet, but I am getting close. :-) Am working my design out now. May reveal it at GCF US 2011. Not sure yet though. When and what did you trade your first geocoin? My first trade was for a United We Cache Geocoin. I traded out a Celtic Moon Geocoin. Haven't traded since. Prefer to keep all those I acquire now. Did you find the forums first or a geocoin first? Geocoins were found first. Really like the forums since I found them though. :-) Thanks for the WTH! Cointest! It made me look back into the memory archives to see how far I have come since May 2008.
  2. I really like this set and would like to have one myself, but I don't think your reason for posting has been answered yet. I would like to suggest the "Inamorata/Inamorato Geocoin Set."
  3. I'm in for one of each WHEN they go on sale. [] "When", being the operative word. [] At the least, when you come to Geocoinfest US 2011 this year and are only giving them out at events, I'll be one of the ones in a committee member shirt. []
  4. I think it's a great idea. Really like the concept. I would definitely pick one of those up for my collection.
  5. We have a few of these coins still available for anyone interested. Contact me through my gc profile.
  6. Awesome looking coins. Hope I win one. Packers 46 Steelers 28 Total points 74 It's gonna be a great game no matter who wins.
  7. Maps working much better now. Still a little sluggish when selecting a cache type to hide/show or hide my finds/my hides, but the reload works. Any chance of having the Enable Personalization check box default to being on? Thanks for the great updates.
  8. Roads are all clear here. Go right ahead. LOL!
  9. I REALLY like the stacked D/T ratings now. Much more easier to read. Leave this as is, please. Thanks for all the hard work.
  10. Clicking on the "View the new Maps Beta" link brings up an error http://www.geocaching.com/error/500.htm. Have tried several times with the same outcome.
  11. The excitement in the anticipation of expecting my invoice is building. :-D
  12. If you have a questionnaire, send one to me. I'll be happy to help out.
  13. Loooooooove this coin! I'm on the mystery list, but have never been lucky enough to receive a mystery coin. :-) Would like to be considered for getting one of these coins. Thanks for posting.
  14. You would be completely amazed at the number of coins minted. Here is a list of all trackable coins produced thus far, but these are only the icons. http://www.geocaching.com/track/geocoinslistall.aspx It's a great idea, but my opinion is that so many are added every week that a book would never be current and up to date. There is a thread on here about a collaboration of many trying to compile a complete list of all coins with facts about each as mentioned so far, but ki can't find it right now. Hope the link helps.
  15. You can find a Honu Sea Turtle coin here. http://www.lillysue.com/geocoins.htm I also have a Hawaii Volcano's National Park coin that I found it on ebay a couple years ago, but it's not for sale. Not sure where you can get one of those.
  16. Oh, I see what you are saying. The problem is that the English text will be a translation of the Hebrew text and while the Hebrew will probably be a tiny bit shorter, it will still be nearly the same size. So, there isn't any room on the other side. I may have not explained it right. I didn't mean wrap it over to the other side. I was trying to suggest finishing the lettering along the edge (rim). Or start the phrase on the edge and then wrap it up onto the side where you have it shown now. That would at least remove one revolution of letters on the face as shown and put it along the edge.
  17. Do you mean have the text run off the edge of the coin? I like that idea! About a five inch coin. I did think about it, but it would be very expensive and I question that there would be enough of a market. I don't want to spend megabucks and not be able to cover costs. Then again, I have not actually priced it, maybe it is not as much as I think. Yeah. Have the last line wrap over and finish along the edge. Or have it start along the edge and then wrap over and finish on the face with the galaxy.
  18. Another thought. Have the text start as it is, but then wrap the last line onto the edge of the coin. Where the letters cross over the edge could be flattened and have the flow seamless. Hope that makes sense.
  19. So do a 5 inch coin. There have been others i.e. the Planisphere (sp?) Coin. I really like the concept. Good luck on your decision.
  20. FYI - c:geo is banned by Groundspeak because it violates the TOS by scraping the site. If you are caught using it, your profile could possibly be banned and blocked without warning. Just thought I would give you a heads up. I have a Droid2 as well and use the Geocaching app by Groundspeak, but there are two other free geocaching apps. Geobeagle and Cachepoint. Both are just as good at providing all you need to cache paperless.
