  1. Admiral Byrd, cantourman and i went today to the toronto sportsman show and i have to say that we were rather unimpressed. im not saying that there was nothing there to see but there wasnt much. the fugawi booth and the few surplus stores were good but, in my opinion it was more geared to the fisherman that the outdoor inthusiest. in our 6 or so hrs there we didnt see a single gps booth or a representative. contourman summed it up by saying "this show has more fishing stuff than the fishing show" which was held a few weeks earlier. oh well thats just our opinion. what did everyone else think? nothingface
  2. Yeah, I didn't want to start a war either, I've just been reading about a lot of quality control/customer service problems with magellans. Don't take my poke at Magellan seriously. I've never owned one nor used one enough to have an opinion(with the exception of an ancient 315-I think that's what it was-looked like it had an 11 segment style calculator screen).
  3. Buy a garmin, the cases don't crack and they come with a lanyard and pc cable. All your Magellan problems solved.
  4. I just ran across this product on a GPS retailer's website and was wondering if anyone had any info or first hand experience with it. Seems like a pretty cool idea. It's made by a company called Rayming. Rayming's page Looks like it would be neat for the car with a moving map program
