  1. I've been using a bike computer for years--wanted to get the GPSr to record trail tracks and plan routes for trips to new areas to ride--thinking the other info was nice to have in one unit. Will also be using the GPSr for hiking with the wife--now that we are new émpty nesters'. May even try geocaching. Will learn to deal with this unit's idiosyncrasies. I did use web updater and the unit has the latest updates. Thanks
  2. Purchased my first GPSr last week--60CSx--and am starting to get the hang of it's functionallity. I use it mainly during mountain biking for recording tracks, riding times, speed, and distance. I have found that the trip odometer records more distance over a three hour ride, than the actual saved track records. I'm pretty sure that occurs when I stop several times for 5 to 10 min at a time and my position 'wanders', adding mileage to the odometer while standing. The saved track distance showed 13.75 miles and the trip odo showed 14.5 miles. I figured I could stop that by turning off the satallite tracking on the satallite page when I stop, and turn it back on when I resume. However, this also stops the clock for recording resting time--altering the calculation for average overall speed. I then tried to turn off the tracking on the tracking page while stopped, but the odometer continued to add distance while standing still. Is there a way to stop the additional distance from accruing on the odometer while resting, and not alter my total travel time (travel time+resting time)? Other than not resting Thanks in advance for any advise.
