  1. My neighbors Son just came in from Borrego by way of I-8. He says that it is really smoky down in the desert since the wind changed. Thats why I'll be comming alone, Sally has enough problem breathing as it is. Will perhaps meet up with everyone at the CITO unless I'm running early. Drive safely everyone.
  2. Didn't you read about the 2 cars of surfers heading South for waves on Labor Day Weekend? Got pulled over by a gang using the "police" blue lights at 4 AM where they stole everything. Sure would ruin a trip and they had been traveling South for years. I would suggest doing Chuy's multi and getting back as soon as possible. After all TJ is a Narco state. PS You could also grab "None More Southwesterly" for the most Southwesterly cache in the US, tho it will now cost park addmission.
  3. How about when you drive 80 miles RT for a cache then finding out there is no description, hint and the signal is bouncing all over the place. Bummer especially if the temp is 100.
  4. Honk Sandy Creek Cowboy #3 and LLOT
  5. Great shot!!! I can often hear the bird but hardly ever find them when I'm out in the desert.
  6. Boy I sure wanted to go with you guys for that one but I have a dentist appt at 11 so theres no way I could make it even if I pulled a Brady. GFETE Be careful out there.
  7. That sure looks like FisnJack. Just kidding of course. Say, I thought you were resting your legs and feet. Guess it's time to activate my Horsethief Canyon sleepers. The truth is that you and Fisnjack hike rings around most of us, me especially. Both of you are amazing and add so very much to our local Geocaching scene. Take good care of yourself. Hey there I didn't think that one looked like me at all. I look more like the one I got a picture of near Desert Springs. I'll try and attach it. As for your sleepers in Horsethief I think TR Violin beat you to it with his 2 new ones and a Terracache just before he went into the hospital. Says they are an easy 5 1/2 mile hike along the ridge well above Pull My Fanger. Miragee rested her feet by doing the 8 mile Kiss the Bottom of Horsethief by mt bike. That made the other 5 miles much easier especially that 1 mile bushwack to Cliff. GFETE
  8. For the Corte Madera I plan on leaving my house around 5 AM Monday. Will have lots of room in the big truck (just me and my egos leaving Teddie home ) for anyone that wants a ride. Since I'm so far South I can route past most areas. 619-424-7011 Jack
  9. I finally found the solution. Talked to the cache owner and apparently some of the html stuff was not compatable with my OPERA browser. Worked fine with netscape. I just mention this in case it happens to someone else. Thaks all for the help[
  10. I just wanted to add that the Border Field SP is closed to dogs the last time I was there, unless of course they are in your car.
  11. I still can't log into the cache. Every time I bring up the cache page all the hot links are dead. Doesn't seem to matter where I start from either. GSAK, HTML even the link above. VERY STRANGE since all the other pages are working just fine.
  12. Yesterday I attended the CITO, found several other caches. I was able to log all of the caches except the CITO. I have tried several ways to bring up the cache page but none allows me to open the attendance log. Any idea of whats going on? I see other people can log it.
  13. Looks like I will be driving down by myself very early Sat morning, will be contra dancing Fri night. I would have plenty of room for anyone that wants a ride. I plan on spending the night however. I didn't see any mention of whether or not the bridge was open so I assume that it is. See you all early in the AM good lord willing and the creeks don't rise. OH 619-424-7011 if you need to call

  15. I recieved the coin in trade and cannot find the location for the activation code. Any help would be appreciated Thanks
  16. Me and Team Fatman Plan on leaving S.D. about 0500 and do some Caching along the way and then hit the Yuma Caches and make it there by BBQ time. Yuma should be an easy 3 hour drive for you about an hour East of El Centro. How long does it take to drive to Yuma? Is it possible to make it a day-adventure?
  17. Since I was there with you I handled it for you by grabbing it from your hand at Endor.
  18. What happened to the "Forbiben Forest" tonight at 8 PM or was it tomorrow night?
