  1. I use 1 gal or 1/2 gallon rubbermaid containers and camo them with some cheap Wal-mart paint. It works really well, it's cheap, and is durable... Rameous

    Cache Cans

I use 1 gallon rubbermaid containers and camo them with a little paint. They seal really well and are inexpensive. A lot of cachers in this area use them and they work fairly well
  3. I have traded knifes in and out of caches and haven't thought much about it until now. In Alabama everyone has a pocket knife....
  4. I think it's ok to do that. It's not much different than several teams of cachers combining forces and logging the finds together.
  5. I have an Etrex Legend that works well but it has to be face up or it will not get a signal. Under heavy cover the signal might be a little hard to obtain but this is the exception and not the norm.
  6. I have an Etrex Legend and have gotten really close 10 or 15 feet, however you should consider the accuracy of not only your GPS but the GPS that was used in placing the cache. ~ 30 to 50 foot margin of error
  7. I completed a 4/4 cache that was pretty hard. I had to scale a 15 foot rock face. A 5/5 would scare me in light of this cache however the area was great a series of 3 waterfalls that made it worth the trip.
  8. I am moving to a new city located over 100 miles from where I am at now. Should I remove my caches and take them with me or leave them in place?

    Snow

I would concentrate on the micros they are usually off of the ground and will not get covered by snow. In the south one of the best times to cache is in the winter: no bugs, snakes, spiders, poison oak/ivy, or dense vegetation to contend with and it only snows a couple of days out of the year.
  10. Insted of Ammo Boxes you might want to try a 1 gallon Rubbermaid container painted with camo <5$
