  1. No tests like that, I do put them in baggies which will help for a while. I have never heard any negative feedback about this but will keep it in mind.
  2. Large and Small Geo tokens and Trackable Poker chips and Buttons found at the following Pittsburgh Caches So Far! Tree Frog The Witch Hunt
  3. Can you let us know purchase price when you do know what it will be.
  4. Sorry, didn't realize they are for sale.
  5. Nice thread showing the process. Why do you make your molds so big? Is the ceramic medium pushed in, or poured? I'd be willing to trade. Although my geotokens are made from plaster and a bit faster process for me but don't have the durability your ceramics will have. This is what I have in baggies and ready for trade.
  6. LOL I recognize of those models you used to make those oh fellow Warhammerer (well the Warhammer ones at least)... My own "signature" tokens I made from some old Bulldog Buckles 40K Icons for Orks, Space Wolves, and a Crux Terminus. You may have inspired me to make something more "mine" though... If you make a mold of these and cast them in plaster the plaster won't hold up well to the "caching experience" even once sealed. I would recommend investing in some pourable plastic and cast them in that instead of in plaster. Much more durable, tintable, paintable, but the pourable plastic does break down the mold a bit quicker then plaster does. I understand your train of thought, but larger sig items like these usually don't see another cache
  7. Truck in the middle of the field = Big Geocache that doubles as drive-away swag!
  8. Take it to the grocery store...har dee har har!
  9. I would say go for it. You will have fun making it. Put in what ever themed items you want. Beggars can't be choosers. The people that will appreciate it will take notice. I will be doing a Moon themed cache full of moon related goodies, tokens and buttons.
  10. Hide the cache in a pinecone or similar dropped item that does not belong to this particular tree so it stands out if you realize it does not belong.
  11. These have been placed on the back burner, I just bought a house!! But I will make molds and paint them up and start placing them in caches or make trades. Will keep those interested up to date.
  12. Yes I would also like to know if you are trading or selling only, please message me. It looks just like my kitty.
  13. Nice looking coin. I wouldn't be put out if I found one or traded for one.
  14. Lord Zogat Signature items soon to be found in local caches close and around Allison Park area. I have brought up about 12 large tokens, plus many personal trackable tokens and buttons. I will be trying to place them this weekend while visiting family and will notify you of the particular caches. Here is an image of some of the possible token items. Let the race begin (if you care...lol)
  15. Bump for someone who asked me how to make them. Horrible, I know!
  16. The only way to battle this is to saturate the Geocache enviroment with quality swag. Load er up and keep filling it every day. I try to and I love to hear the emails back to me directly for the items they take, as all I ask is for an email in reply. Some of my sig items that will find their way into my caches big enough to hold em. I have trackable buttons out there too.
  17. what are the white granuals inside of the metal frame?
  18. Plastic resin - hard to paint and costly for both mold and casting material Plaster of Paris sealed in a marine varnish or clear coat resin after being painted - Low cost casting material and mold material, sealing resin or varnish will be the cost component. Wax - cheap, easily broken, floats Some stone casting compounds are immediatly water proof and have durability - again cost. A plastic resin compound will stand up the best to water over time. What about a double sealed cache container to keep the contents dry, they have to take it above surface to get in. This way its not as critical that the sig items be sealed.
  19. My latest addition to swag. I have invested about $300 into a button machine and now make my own tracking buttons and customized button swag for my cacahes. That price includes the press and 1200 buttons. Feathered Friends Cache buttons. All these birds can be found in the area of the cache.
  20. Try looking at this thread. There are tonnes of pics of what people use. Sig Items
