  1. So did he have a TPLO? Sucks to be him. 16 weeks of on leash walking. There goes the whole summer for him. We went through this two years ago. Thought about TPLO, but we went for the 'traditional' repair (where they put the nylon cord in). He's borderline on the weight that they'll do it for (the vet I go to will do it up to ~80 lbs... he's ~75lbs). Right now he's not overly mobile. Up all last night crying, trying to get comfortable while the pain meds wore off. My arms are awfully sore from carrying him up and down the stairs. He's starting the try to stand on his own, but I'm a little reluctant to let him. Dale Dale........ you take care of that K9 friend and don't fret about this wonderful project you are doing. We had a dog in for that repair 5 years ago and he never recovered from the anesthesia. His loss still hurts to this day ! So be thankful you have him and LOVE HIM GOOD.
  2. Not if you get the maps from the referenced thread - they do not autoroute but are quite easy to get on your unit. THANKS ! I'm not looking to autoroute. I just want to save my dumb butt out in the woods and the BLM roads are the best bet for having some labels on them.
  3. Thanks StarBrand !!! I'll do that. Sounds like I should have been on that forum all along.
  4. I'd like to know if maps other than Garmin products can be down loaded to the GPS. I purchased their TOPO 2008 with my Vista and TOPO seems to show the roads in my neighborhood but only labels the Forest Service Roads not the BLM roads. As I roam in my jeep numerous BLM roads are labeled in the field so it would be extremely helpful to me to have that info on the map too. I asked the Garmin product support and got this response : "Unfortunately we do not offer any applications that will include BLM roads." Anyone have any suggestions for me ???? Can google earth be downloaded into the GPS ??? I notice they have BLM roads labeled.
