  1. Thank you to you both! Very helpful ?
  2. I am trying to create a pocket query of all my finds and I CANNOT FIND USA under the location. Is anyone else having this issue?? I can't understand. I have looked under United States, USA, America, and North America. They have US minor islands and US Virgin Islands, but no USA
  3. Great suggestions. I appreciate the viewpoint that the phone may be as accurate as GPS so will have to use my iPhone until I can afford to get a new GPS. Also thanks for reminding me that entering in coordinates manually is a possibility too.
  4. I HAVEN'T BEEN GEOCACHING IN ALMOST 3 YEARS. I FOUND MY TWO GPS UNITS WHICH IS THE MAGELLAN EXPLORIST 510 AND THE EXPLORIST GC. WHEN I CONNECTED BOTH THE GPS UNIT SAYS IT IS CONNECTED TO MY COMPUTER WHICH IS A MACBOOK, BUT THE MAC IS NOT RECOGNIZING THEM AT ALL. I HAD BEEN USING AN OLDER MAC, BUT NOW HAVE A MACBOOK PRO HIGH SIERRA 10.13.6. I HAVE SEARCHED ONLINE ON HOW TO GET MAC TO COMMUNICATE WITH GPS UNITS AND CAN'T GET ANYTHING TO WORK. SO FAR I DOWNLOADED THE MAGCOMMUNICATORMAC APP BUT WON'T OPEN ON MY COMPUTER. I FEEL SO LOST... IS THERE A WAY TO UPDATE MY GPS UNITS SO THAT THEY WILL COMMUNICATE WITH MY MACBOOK? OR SHOULD I BUY A NEW ONE? WE ARE EXPERIENCING SERIOUS FINANCIAL ISSUES SINCE OUR FURNACE JUST DIED SO I REALLY DON'T WANT TO BUY A NEW GPS IF I DON'T HAVE TO. ALSO I AM WORRIED IF I DO BUY A NEW GPS WILL IT JUST BECOME OBSOLETE IN A YEAR OR TWO? I HAVE TRIED USING MY IPHONE WITH GEOCACHING APP, BUT IT ISN'T ACCURATE ENOUGH AND THE BATTERY DIES TOO QUICKLY. ANY ADVICE IS APPRECIATED.
  5. I believe that if a person signs the physical log it is ok if they don't sign online if they don't want to do so. I agree that there are many different reasons someone might not sign the log. As a cache owner I would not have any issues with a physical signature with no online log.
  6. I had no idea that TB owners were bothered by me "visiting" caches until I could properly move their TB to a cache. I have logged all TB's in my possession as "visited" until I can drop so that they will gain miles and show that I haven't forgotten about it. I always have the best intentions when taking a TB and would love to help them to reach their goals always, however, I don't travel that much so I like to move them to maybe more popular caches so that they have a better chance to reach their goal eventually. It seems that no matter what you do someone has an issue with it, so I guess I will just keep doing what I do...
  7. I just logged a DNF on a cache where the last log was a "found"; when I read the description the geocacher wrote that they had found the cache over a year prior and was just getting to logging the find. That is fine, but I wish they would back date to around the same time last year or when-ever they think it was they really found the cache. Does this bother anyone else?
  8. ME TOO!!! I HOPE GEOCACHING.COM MAKES THIS AN OPTION FOR US SOON!!!
