  1. Hey all. I'm sorry if this has been done before (i've searched, found nothing and am getting frustrated :/) but I've previously used a Palm handheld with the Magellan GPS Companion, which featured very basic software - all it told you was the direction, the current reception and lo! and behold, a *tracklog*. So I could see the path I've taken previously and where I have to go. On this tracklog was also every waypoint/geocache I've had set up in the system recently, and it told me what direction to walk in. I really, really, really want this feature again for my new Pocket PC. More so than a map or whathaveyou (i don't consider those terribly important.) Any software out there at all that can do this? I have an iPaq h4150, with a bluetooth connection to a TomTom Wireless GPS device. Thanks heaps for the help.
  2. Thanks, folks. That makes my life heaps easier! Sildantar.
  3. Hey all. I've been writing some scripts for more organized Paperless Caching with my Palm Pilot. To this end, I was wondering if it would be feasible to index my caches by using their "Waypoint Name", as given on the cache's page. Are these names unique to that cache, or are they generated in such a way that they may reoccur somehow? Any help appreciated. Sildantar.
  4. Hey all. Sorry for reviving an old thread like this, but I was searching for a solution to my problem... That freeware application someone posted worked miracles, it let me convert from deg/min/sec to decmial degrees no-problem. However... How does it do it? Anyone know the formula to do this by-hand? I'm writing myself several scripts for organizing my geocaches, and everything works except for the co-ordinates Which, incidentally, turned out to be pretty annoying today, as I went Geocaching, using my wrong results (didn't convert properly), several kilometres away from the actual Cache location. (As many as 30, actually - about 12-15 miles). Any help at all on converting dec/min/sec to decimal degrees 'by hand' would be helpful. Sildantar.
