Well my family and I are new to this we have been caching for about 2 weeks we have found sevencaches so far, we have found 3 geocoins and moved them on there way,my son had a hard time understanding why he could not keep them to get his collection started. T 3rd cache we found we searched for 45 mins., I had got tired of looking but Mickey would not quit, so he looked for an additional 15mins, when he was ready to leave I stepped off the rock I had been standing on and heard the sound of metal hitting rock, I had been standing on the cache for 15 mins while he searched a every nook and cranny for a 30' radius. We placed the first Geocoin we had ever dealt with in that cache It was a USA Geocoin. This would be the first the 4th coin in our collection if we could win one. So I don't have to post twice I would like to nominate Fairyhoney as she was very helpful in another thread with a question I had on mystery coins.

Looked for the answer to his in other posts and could not find it, so I will probably take some grief over asking this, but how does one go about getting one of these mystery coins are they sent to you or are they in caches. If they are sent where do they get your address?

Hi all I am new to caching and coins my 12 yearold son(Mickey) is into the coins more than I, we both enjoy caching I am planning on buying a couple of coins for my soon inthe near future. My family and I are looking forward to a long stay here on the forum

Hi all my ,Son who is 12, and I have just started Caching. and we are having a blast. He has an interest in starting a Geocoin collection what is the best way to get started and where is the best place to get these coins. he would also like to get a couple to put in a cache to start a journey so he could follow where it goes. How do we go about all of this?

Hi all I am also pretty new here, my family and I have six finds since we started caching last weekend. Team North Fork is myself(Tom) my wife Ronda and our son Mickey. Looking forward to getting to know the folks on this site.

Well the North Fork seekers were out again today. This time we took the great lady in our life( my wife and micks mother) and I believe she is hooked also made 3 finds today one was a multi cache thattook us awhile to find after Mick searched for about 45mins we figured out that for 10 mins I had literally stood right on top of the cache. We all got a good laugh out of that, also found our first two geocoins today and kept their journey going. I am glad my wife discovered this new hobby.

Do you keep a log of all the caches you find? If you do what kind of info do you keep in your personal log. I was wondering what all people keep track of after they find a cache.

I saw at Gander Mt. today a Vista bunble pack( topo) for 199.00 dollars. Is this a good deal, this is not the hc model however it does waas. electronic compass and altimeter.

My son and I made our first find tonight he was very excited I believe we are hooked.
