  1. Quick update...just tried with Firefox and no issues...so maybe it's an IE8 thing?
  2. I'm not sure if anyone else is having this issue, or if it is just me, but when I click "map it" to do a map of caches near a certain location, it tries to open it, but ends up crashing. I'm using IE 8 under Vista if that helps any. I've tried this several times at different points during the day and it is quite consistent. Thanks Shane
  3. Just got the PM and replied. Yep, it's still forsale..
  4. I purchased an eXplorist 500 so will be selling my meridian platinum. I'm hoping to get like $100 for it, but if you make a good offer, I'll likely take it.
  5. Thanks! worked perfectly! I'm sure this will do what I want later on, but it was great to map out my geocaching trip!
  6. I'm looking to find out how I can map an area using my eXplorist. I need to define a map for a campground and was hoping I could just do a walk around with my GPS and export that to a map software to help design the map. I know that probably isn't as clear as I could make it, but that's the best I can do at this time. I hope you get the idea of what it is I want to do.... Main question is, how do I do that with the eXplorist, and what software can I import my "route" into?
  7. I didn't read this thread until now and yesterday I purchased the Geosphere app from the app store. I love how it does pocket queries, and you can add additional waypoints when viewing a cache. It's a nice feature when you are doing a puzzle cache. It's something that the GC app doesn't do yet either...
  8. I'm looking at "upgrading" my GPS. I have a Platinum right now...was my first GPS and I bought it used. I saw that the triton 200 here at canadian tire was listed as "designed for geocaching". I'm just wondering what the general community thinks. Would this be a worthwhile upgrade for me or would I be lugging this thing right back to the store?
  9. I'm still quite new to the whole GPS thing. I have an older Meridian Platinum (grey and black unit). It says my firmware is 5.40 WAAS enabled. So....I'm asking now...is that good enough? Can I assume that WAAS is in fact enabled on my unit? Just wondering as when I'm caching, I don't seem to get *really* close to the coordinates, but close enough I guess. If I can get closer, even better...
