  1. For this very reason is why I never released something like this when I first started. There are many people that will think it is funny to damage someones computer.
  2. I work for a print and promotions company. I can tell you that even if a coin reseller gave up who their mint was its not going to be a big issue. First off the mint will not give the same discount to an individual as they would to a company that comes to them daily with work. So I hardly see where this is even closely related to asking how much money someone has in the bank.
  3. Again, I like to believe your action was unintentional, so go forward with this as a lesson learned. -=-=feixed link=-=- And so by outting the others that seem to have not had permission you think he did a bad thing though unintentionally? Sorry, I see it as a good thing that he outted the others. If the Ranger found those caches himself it could make for an even more difficult situation. This whole better to ask forgiveness than permission mentallity is wrong. it takes 1 bad apple to spoil the bunch. But 1 good apple can open the door to more. And by him approaching the land owner although was told no at first may be persuaded later on with perhaps examples of how Cachers can be helpful such as with CiTo events. But it be hard to convince a land owner that we can be helpful when others are willing to do what ever the heck they want without permission.
  4. Remember: Sometimes the way forward is to go backwards. (I think that was the quote from Labyrinth (the bird hat thing on the guys head).
  5. Coming from a pervs point of view: I get the inneuendo and I see nothing wrong with it. However the only thing I see on the back that could in any way be seen as "dirty" it a far stretch of the mind. Then again I never saw the inital coin name or icon, so I guess my mind wasn't put in that place to begin with. But then as mentioned some people will just whine about anything.
  6. Nifty Idea, I was actually designing a dogtag that would slidet in a geocoin, thinking that it be a new idea, but I like the pathtag idea as well. Hmm perhaps back to the photoshop and a little redesign.
  7. I got my Northern Hemisphere planisphere coin July 3rd. Just wanted to give a kudos to Coinsandpins for making the exchange for me as I had accidentally ordered a southern hemisphere one. The coin is great. now if Only I knew which way north was.
  8. Logged in this morning to see 2 of them practicing their lift off. had about 3-4 inches of air under their feet for a few seconds. Sadly I missed getting a screenshot.
  9. You claim that you are all nice people to know, but yet are acting just as childish as the person you are deleting logs. You don't even agree with their decision yet you went and joined them in on their decission. You won't win any arguement against the person and now the person has now gasoline for his fire as you have now deleted legitamate finds, and it wouldn't be surprising that since you deleted their log that the person deletes your cache. If his logs are "offensive" give an example. Bleep out any curse owrds of course. But make sure they are in fact offensive. and not an overreaction to criticism. And again instead of deleting them contact TPTB here at GC.com and let them take care of the issue.
  10. Only TB I have on watchlist Spirit of Ozzy.
  11. I have to agree wtih this statement. If it is a haslle for you the placer, why in the H - E Double Hockey stick should a geocacher go visit it? Geocaching is about having fun, not being hassled.
  12. They are getting restless,a couple of them have been spreading their wings in preparation to flying. Another week or so and perhaps we may see some get air.
  13. And who really cares if someone fakes a log? Oh know someone got an undeserved smiley. Big flipping deal. Unless of course you measure yourself against others smileys. Seriously all these extra requirements people are adding to "log" a cache is BS. Signing the Log is the only requirement. Even though that can be faked since I can write anybodies name in the log as well as tear pages out so that I got the FTF. (I don't do any of that by the way.)
  14. Actaully where you put <p> would technically be the start of a paragraph. and not the end. And though SOME browsers don't matter if you put in proper codes. such as a <p> at the start of a paragraph and a </p> at the end. There are reasons to use proper coding.
  15. ?? WTF?? You are upset because you can't hide a cache at a business? PFD. Get over it. This game seems to be getting more ridicules for the number monkeys out there. Personally I wish Walmart would put a stop to allowing caches in their parking lot. I for one rarely eat a cracker barrel, but I will still go there when the mood strikes. Get over yourself at thinking that just because you can't place a cache there that people will see it as a reason not to go there. Geocaching doesn't have to be place in every front yard, and every parking lot.
  16. looking to trade Planisphere Southern Hemisphere for a northern hemisphere. Seems I ordered the wrong one though I don't recall seein gan option to choose northern hemisphere. PM me pse.
  17. Is it? I looked at the site and saw drop down for other countries. I hadn't actually testted the site out.
  18. With everyone that ships coins I thought you all might find this site interesting. It lists all theshipping costs for the major delivers. http://www.shiptool.com/
  19. You could, but with how flimsy the paper is and thin it may rip more likely. a heavy pound paper like photo or stickers will atleast hold up to all the spraying it is liquid even in most form.
  20. The crystal clear will work to weather proof it some. But not keep it from peeling. For that I would suggest using a spray adhessive. I don't have the name of it here at work, but I do have a can of it at home that I use in conjunction with stickers since many stickers that are fed through printers use a weak glue. To use you spray the back of the sticker, and the poker chip. Place the sticker on the chip and within an hour (I think its actually like 5 minutes) it won't come off. Follow that up with the Crystal clear spray and you are ready to drop your chips in caches. Edited to add link: http://www.target.com/Multiuse-Professiona...raft&page=1
  21. I got my very first coin today. The first coin in my collection is the Planisphere Coin. Though I really wouldn't call it a coin persay but it is awesme. Larger than I expected by a quarter inch, but still beautiful work. Well after looking at the coin I am a bit saddened. Somehow I received a southern hemisphere coin, and I don't recall an option to choose between a northern or southern hemisphere coin. I would have chosen Northern if I had known. SO now I need to get with them about possibly getting it exchanged
  22. QUIT GEOCACHING! There Someone wants you to stop geocaching. So, have you archived your caches and terminated your membership yet? ... .... .... .... .... .... *waiting* Well that's mature. You know what I mean. Geocaching is meant to be fun and harmless. If it bothers someone, we'll go elsewhere. Why mock them if they really don't want us there? If someone played loud music in the street near your yard where you are trying to relax, and you were annoyed by it to the extent you ask them to please turn it off or at least turn the volume down, wouldn't you be happy if they did? I mean, they don't have to, but you're bothered by it, so if they're decent people, they'll listen to you. We geocachers should be decent people, not the kind that gets angry when someone is bothered by us. Well if they came to my door flashing a badge as if they were a cop and weren't You can bet I turn them in for impersonating one. The park is PUBLIC property and unless the park states that we cannot geocache on their territory we have the right. I still stand by my first statement on this post. Hold a cache event.
  23. I would fear for Jeremy's life if he got in the hands of the icon tarts as they pass him around in their circle. The poor guy.
  24. That would be correct. Caches that state you have to trade a TB for a TB are wrong in doing so. And you do not have to at all. TBs are a seperate part of the game that has nothing to do with the cache other than a rest stop to its next journey.
