  1. Hi have been asked by Boy Scouts, I'm a scouter to present geocaching at a large meeting at Boys Town in Omaha next Nov. I need graphics of the attributes. I have downloaded ones from the internet, not geocaching.com and they are all grossly pixilated so they are useless to me. I would like clear images. Hey ground speak can you help me?? If you have any other stuff concerning UTM, the satellites that would be fantastic. This is a 101 course about 1 hr. for adult leaders. Thanks, Toothfaker
  2. Hi I have "signed up" twice there and am still waiting for some code or someone tto approve that I can go on Nebraka cache. I just think it would be fun to meet some more people doing this and ask questions. Maybe someone can help with this membership sign up snafuuuuuuu.. Thank you Toothfaker. There is an event this weekend in Ashland, just up the road from you. GC1CHG0 There will be a few members there and you should be able to ask questions and meet some local cachers. Might see you there! Darn: I have too many interests. I am going to Rock Creek sattion to cook 1860's style out of the back of a real chuckwagon. have done this for 20+ years. Period dress, the bit. Anyway there are a few cache's in fairbary and one outside of Rock creek station. My loss.

  4. In starting a Lincoln based geocaching club group whatever? If there is interest in getting together as a group, send me your contact info and I will see if we have enough interest in the people who live here to start getting together to learn and share this fun activity. Maybe we could meet at a cafe or a library or a place of business. Let me know, tell others. Toothfaker
  5. I have been geocaching for 1 month. have found 14 so far. On the very first time, I was looking for a cache with my kids, and elderly gent of maybe 80+ asked us if we were looking for Morrell mushrooms. I had an enfatic YES! have you seen any? He said no and we moved on. The kids were silent and saw me tell a white lie. They were kind of laughing about it and i said i didn't want to lye but he was on top of us before we knew it. His dog rambled up to us as we were replacing a well hidden amo box with lots of goddies. Thinking about it now if we just told him what we were doing he would have thought it was really a fun activity.
  6. my 14 yr old daughter asked me what was a muggle? i learned what it was just last weekend. i said I guess it discribes a harry potter character. You tell me. She says oh someone whop has no clue what your doing and can screw up your day right? I said yes I think that's right! We has an elderly gent come up near us while we were leaving a cache and he said, what cha doin lookin for morrels? All togehter we looked at each other and said yep, but it was too cold today for them to be in bloom. Morrell is of course a mushroom that is wonderful to eat. It was cool, he was cool. Toothfaker. I too am new to this and really like doing it.

  8. i travel to vermont for business. I live in Nebraska. Has any one taken their GPS with them post 911?? I assume it would be a big hassle. I would not put it in checked baggage because of fear of being stolen. Mine is an expensive model. Carry on seems like it would attract a ton of negative attention as to why you have this on a plane. It would definately set off the metal detectors. I would love to cache on my time off during my trips out there. Toothfaker,
