  1. I just saw your post and I agree with you I know you made it 2 years ago but I just had to reply. the Mrs. and I just were on your wonderful island and managed to find 19 caches in just 2 days. I really want to return someday. our only regret is as of this writing there is no Guam souvenir, it would be kinda nice for those of us who track that sort of thing. The other thing is while there we replaced a number of logs that had deteriorated to an unusable state. This is,I would assume due to the high humidly rather than lack of maintenance. we the Mrs. and I make it a practice to repair or even replace caches when we are able to. I just wish more cachers would do so. Many newbies really don't really yet understand the ins and outs of caching etiquette and as the more experience cachers we need to help them out, show them the ropes so to speak.
  2. If you can make it ove to Guam there's alot more caches there! I loved deploying there, but I wasn't aware of geocaching then, unfortunately...
  3. I think I have the best of both worlds I use a garmin 2820 in the car (my 2720 was ripped off dont leave unit on dash!!) and a Garmin map76 CSX for when I get out of the car and go cross country on foot This setup works well for us. but I do admit it a bit of a costly way to go. 4. How do you get the ID #? How do you get the GC#? ID # will need to be from the owner... But you can get the GC# by opening the page of a nearby cache and requesting a list of nearby caches. that's all you need. I have a different look on all this logging of non member on MOCs. I am a Premium member I got it because I do want to support the hobbie and also because I love the software tool it gives you My problem is this, sometimes I cache with pepole who for what ever reason don't have a membership. we will go to an area to cache and then when I get home I find that some of the caches were MOC. What I want to know is there a way in PQ's that I can filter out the MOC's, and just get a return on non-MOC caches. Or is there a way I can easily see the type of cache ie: moc or not. can someone help me on this. There are just sometimes when I don't want to do any MOC on a hunt. and we have a lot of them here.
