  1. I've collected $2 so far from caches for FTF. Now if I took the pennies, nickels, dimes, and quarters that I see, I might be up to $10 by now.
  2. Roses are red Violets are blue Caching for me. Caching not for you.
  3. The kind that kids get candy in -- NO. I have found some of those as caches and they weren't pretty.
  4. Personally, I CITO unattached business cards out of caches that I find. You should attach it to the item in some way.
  5. Meh...like 80% of caches today can be had without a GPS! I meant that you can find the cache without having any information about it other than the information that is pre-existing in your mind.
  6. If you log under a team account and the log contains the team account name/sticker then c'est la vie. if you are logging finds that you didn't actually go to under your own account, then well I would describe that as sad.
  7. The OP and the Token maker that I listed above are not using reference numbers, they are using the tracking code. Otherwise, the items wouldn't be constantly moving and being discovered.
  8. Here is another travel bug spammer. One travel bug number is being put on signature tokens. http://www.geocaching.com/track/details.aspx?id=1963559
  9. I find that in my area, favorite points are often used to reward caches that bend the guidelines to stand out.
  10. You hid them, you can walk right to them without the GPS. You didn't find them. Of course it isn't "right" but you can do what you wish. No one will care and you won't be smite down. This is the same as being with someone when they hide a cache. If you log those, then you log transfers as well.
  11. For me, the hide still matters. With that I am saying that a LPC doesn't mean much to me, regardless of how I get there. Now if you put something besides a 35mm film canister or altoids under that LPC then we can talk.
  12. Allow others to enjoy the trackable. Having them visit cache after cache does not excuse the fact that you are holding them hostage. Buy your own and take it to every cache if that is what floats your boat.
  13. DOH this makes no sense. I have only found 2 multi caches and 14 puzzle caches yet have hidden both. Look at my caches, see if they are going over well. Such a blanket statement is useless. I see hiders with 1,000 finds throw down caches that they have no intention of supporting when they get muggled or have issues do to the container. Read the logs, it is almost always evident if a cache is worth your time.
  14. Logged online on 11/28/2009 and on paper on 4/30/11? Seems unlikely that is the matching cache. My guess is that they don't log all of their finds online.
  15. I feel that the size should always be relative what swag can be put in there. If the container lists as "large" and I come with swag for a "large" container and find I can not leave the "large" swag then I get agitated.
  16. I take the oath, I have never hidden one and will never do so.
  17. I often find ? to mean that the cache is a micro but the hider wishes to conceal that fact.
  18. I should consider putting the same tracking code on each of my signature items, that way I can track where they go and who finds them. Why doesn't everyone do this?! This isn't allowed. Well, we know Groundspeak wants you to purchase an unique code for EACH item.
  19. Reading the logs, it becomes apparent that the TO has put one travel bug number on many pens. These are probably being used as a signature item left in caches. Since there is only one number for all of the pens, anyone "grabbing" the pen interferes with what the TO is trying to do, which is track who has found his signature item. Surely using a TB number in this way is against the "rules".
  20. I think you will only cause yourself unwanted conflict if you choose to make such a judgement call. Did the other cacher drive 85 in a 65 to get there, breaking another vehicle code?
  21. The comments that you left at the bottom of the description of GC1GHG5 would be likely fodder to start a caching war. You do not get to force people to claim DNFs by threatening to "out" them. Then read the archive note on GC1G1F8. Cachers will help out other cachers find a cache. If someone signs the log, they found it and you should worry less about how they found it. You seem like you bring wrath upon yourself. Your caches shouldn't be stolen but ...
  22. Nice icons, but this one better applies to the feelings of most cachers, no? If you look at the stats of these known power trail caches, you will notice a lot of finds compared to those onsie-twosie caches in similar areas; especially in the case of the ET highway and the number of favorite points give to ET-0001. I would argue that the number of geocachers that enjoy power trails is higher than the number of geocachers that do not like them. The highest number is likely from those that are indifferent to the whole thing and just like to get out and have fun, however they define that. I was being cheeky, obviously, but I still suspect that if you placed all geocachers at the start of the E.T. highway, more would find it boring than those who find it enjoyable. Saying that something is popular because people choose to go there does not discount that yet more people may still be choosing not to go there.
