  1. Actually, I think logging separately does justify separate memberships. And I'd feel odd if I were logging premium caches while appearing in my profile as a basic member? But that's just me.................. I couldn't help but chime in here. While out caching yesterday with my family (My husband and I are BOTH premium members, the kids are not) we came across a cache that none of us knew was a MOC. After looking for quite some time, my 4 YEAR OLD found it. He was extremely excited and proud. It was important for me to log this find for him - yes he has a user name of his own choosing, one he settled on after a hike that many adults can't make. He was proud of that one, too. So, I'm not trying to cheat or get around the system, but at this point I can't justify a premium membership for him. There are other caches in the same park that are member's only that although he has signed the log for, I won't be logging as finds for him. This particular one was important, that's all.
  2. I understand. I have just seen other caches that do this (in fact, I was using one particular page as a model.) The link to the document works, so I know I'm doing the programming wrong. I also understand that a previous cache placement does not set precedent for another cache. What I need to know now is how to ensure that folks who view the image can print it at the correct size. I am reluctant to give this information on my page as it gives a clue as to how to solve the puzzle. Thanks.
  3. Ok, but can I create a link to a PDF? If so, how do I do that?
  4. I am trying to create a puzzle cache, and I need for folks to be able to print out an exact copy of a document I created on Word. The cache page itself renders just fine when I view it on the website, and when I click on the link in my HTML editor, it takes me the document. But if I click on the link from the page itself, I get a 404 error. I tried changing it to a PDF file, which would also suit my needs. That didn't work either. I found a cache similar to mine and tried to copy the source code. When I did that the link worked. I think it has to do with where my document is saved, but I'm not sure how to fix that. I'm new to HTML (isn't it obvious?), so I don't really know how to fix this. I am having fun learning HTML through geocaching. I will appreciate any advice you have. Thanks.
  5. Today was our first attempt ever to find a Geocache. Here in Central Arizona, we are used rattlesnakes, but we usually see them and almost never hear them. Today as I and my two sons, ages 11 and 4, were climbing up the mountain, we were being extremely cautious about both snakes and cholla cactus. We were on a steep, rocky slope, and as I took a step, I must have startled a very large and invisible snake. I don't think he was even nearby (at least that's what I have to keep telling myself), but the sound was very loud and he kept up rattling for a long time. For safety's sake, we did not continue up the mountain today. My heart was in my throat for quite sometime afterwards.
